My set up is all kr808-d. I've got regular batts 280mAh, XL batts 380mAh, a 5 volt direct pt, a 3.7v mod box, and waiting for my vv mod box. I love to get the big, huge hits, perhaps on the warm side. Recently I've been stuck on the dual coils, (awsome clouds!), but have read a few threads describing some monster hitting singles, (i think they were 3ohm) not sure if they vert or horizontal coils or if that even matters. Any suggestions?

I don't care that much for the dual coil though I have a pair of 2.5ohms on my Krescendo running at 5.5v but after the 3 boxes of them are gone I probably wont buy any more I don't feel they're worth the extra money I'm good with a 3 ohm boge on my vv mods, I haven't tried the horizontal coils I ordered some from health cabin with my last order but they haven't arrived yet

...on 3.7v PVs...I have tried a couple of DCCs and have been less than impressed with them...by allowing them to "cook" for a second or two before I start my draw, I have been able to get decent hits off of them BUT, it seemed somewhat cool...I have been able to get better/warmer hits with the 1.7ohm Resurrector single coil cartos...gotta love them on 3.7v...I was recently gifted with an Evercool VV box mod and I have batts and some 3ohm single coil cartos coming this week(hopefully) and I am truly looking forward to putting it thru its paces.............

I got some of the duals for my 3.7 Provape 1 to give them a try as everybody (alot anyway) was raving
about them. Well....very dissapointed to say the least. I did not get results that others
were raving about. I got so much less vapor production than my regular LR boges.
So for me...it's a no go on the duals.

I bought a Provari for myself a Christmas Present, and 3 ohms Boge to go with it. Well I
was really suprised at the difference from the Provape 1 to the Provari....
I get so much more vapor and warmth than I even thought I would. It is great!!!

I am a BIG believer in 3.7 and up mods. Until you try one...you just cannot believe the
difference in the performance from the smaller battery units.

So now I enter my second year of vaping with a great unit that gives me all the satisfaction
and performance that I want.

I am going to get me a tank unit with single coil cartomizers and give that a try on my Provari
to see if that will work during traveling times in the truck.

Just my 2 cents worth of experience.

I just started using a VPX tank from Nhaler with a 3.0 boge and it's awesome for traveling. Easy to fill as well. I went with the VPX to test the tank market because they are pretty inexpensive.

Personally I'm not a fan of dual coils. I feel like alot of people use them just because they think they will be better. But on an eGo or 3.7V PV, their really nothing special. Their okay on my Epower, and they work alittle better using them on an eGo, but even still their not great. I find that dual coils really only work very well if your vaping in the 4-5V range. 3.7V PVs and the even less 3.3-3.4V eGos their just mediocre. The Ressurector cartos run a lot better on my Epower. They prOduce a much warmer vape than a DC and also produce just as much if not more vapor than a DC. Plus the Ressuectors don't drain your battery like a dual coil does and they also don't go through as much juice either.
So unless you vape in the 4-5V range constantly, a solid single coil is just as good if not better especially on 3.7V PVs and eGos.

One thing for sure, even with my 2xAA mod box, 900mAh Trustfire, 3.7 v mod, they do still drain my batts fast. But the flavor and quantity is still unmatched in my book. That's why I'm gonna get a vv mod. I was thinking I could get even bigger hits at 4.5 to 7volts! I really like the dc's! I didn't ever like the LR'S, burn too quickly for me.
I guess what I really wanted to know was; if I stay at 3.7v using 1.5-1.7lr's, why isn't it the same as going 5-6v using a 3ohm, (or so)? And if I do go with a Boges 3ohm, will it burn at 5volts and higher, otherwise I'll stay at 3.7v, right?

Isn't, "going thru more juice", to be expected when getting a bigger hit, its nature of the beast, yes?
