Just stumbled onto something yesterday and it has changed my vaping from mediocre to pure satisfaction.
This is something so easy, it was a "Duh?!" moment. The vets here probably know this so don't flame me too badly, because unless you are told, as a newb, you just don't know. It's not in the instructions (at least not in the Riva kit I got) and just something that occurred to me to try and it worked great.
When using a manual battery, hit it for about three or four seconds before beginning the draw. This heats up the atty and readies it for the draw.
I was activating the battery as I drew on it and was getting OK results. Preheating the atty just a bit gave me much more vapor and a much better TH. As a result, I'm getting more nic and vaping less, so any loss in battery charge length from "preheating" the atty is offset by not vaping as frequently.
Life is good.
