I loved it from the get-go. The first puff I just knew this was going to be it. But in the begining I was sort of regretting my choice to buy one because the e-liquid that I got was just insanely sweet and far too strong to truely enjoy. Later I found out that there are mild flavors, so I poured in some blueberry tobacco e liquid and I can't even think how I could regret this kind of purchase.

My very first vape was that moment for me. I knew, after that I wasn't going to be a smoker anymore. I didn't have perfect gear but I knew I was onto something life changing. I just felt deep down.... this hell is finally over.

The same. July, Friday the 13th with a simple 901 cigalike and cartridge. It was sort of like, "umm, not bad... this might just work."

And it did.

My 'this is going to work' moment came very very early. I had been trying so hard to quit cigs for a long time. You name it, I tried it. Wellbutrin, Chantix, Hypnotism, Cold Turkey, Patches, Gum ...the works. It wasn't the chemical addiction as much as it was the hand to mouth part of it for me.

I read about e-cigs and did some research on it. I found that there was a store 12 miles away and I drove right over. I spoke with a very helpful young woman and was so lost. I didn't even know what questions to ask but I did buy a disposable to try out. I brought it home and on the way I smoke a cig and counted how many draws it took to smoke one. Was 12 puffs. I tried the disposable that evening when I would have normally reached for a cig. The flavor wasn't that good and the vapor was pretty anemic but I knew after about the 4th puff that this would work.

I found ECF and got some advice on a starter kit and ordered two different ones from Smokeless Image and Halo for my wife and I. They came in on Sat and we finished our smokes that night so none were in the house. The next day, Sunday July 8th 2012, we both started vaping and neither of us had a cigarette since. Dear God I am so thankful!

Thanks Ratman for a great story. REALLY COOL to hear about couples vaping together...
Dear God I am so thankful!
Not so much a religious person but that one statement completely sums it up for me as I was just waiting for some serious issue due to smoking for 44 years to happen and basically just counting the days.
