Hey forum,

I'm probably going to open my mouth and remove all doubt here, but can the larger 18650 battery be used in a mini somehow? I have the IMR 14500's which are working just fine. However, being the neurotic, nothing's ever good enough for me person that I am, I ponder.........Is it that the 18650's are physically larger and won't fit? Or they'll just fry everything?

They won't fry anything...but you're correct...they are just too big for the mod. That is why the next model made is called the Grand. It takes the 18650s, as do the Woodvils.

And I didn't read the responses that are already there....thanks guys! :)

Thanks folks. And thanks for showing a newb what the numbers mean. I guess a better and maybe dumber question would have been if there are any larger capacity batteries that will fit right into the mini with no modifications. I think I know the answer since I have been reading this forum quite a bit and have not seen anything to that effect....sans modding the mod. I've read the six volt mini thread where two batteries are stacked, but the capacity is compromised. In my never ending quest to improve anything mechanical, I must ask these questions. I must have been dropped on my head.
