Robert said: "Prediction- Within 1 Year Philip Morris will have ther own e-cig and / or e-juice on the market and sold in gas stations within 2 years."

I agree with you in essence, but think you are being too conservative (and may have reversed the order of events). I expect to see e-cigs sold at gas stations (and convenience stores) within 6 months. The tremendous recent increase in analog prices is driving smokers to cheaper alternatives. The recent immigrants who run so many convenience stores are not bound in American traditions and are constantly looking for (non-traditional) ways to support themselves and their families. [I believe that Smoking Everywhere, or at least the distribution center here in South Florida, is run by Israelis.]

Big tobacco is set in its ways, but is not stupid (and also wants to make a buck, well, megabucks). So sometime in 2010 for them (not knowing much about that industry, I'm not sure who'll be first).

    IM(not so H)O

Ahhh - I predicted that back in April already - I firmly believe that's what all the stink is about - ;)

Hmmm... Don't know if this is all good or all bad. It's great that more and more people will discover vaping due to these commercials, but bad because it kind of brings them into the spotlight. I dunno. I have been hearing on the radio the brand that offeres them for "free" (we all know how that goes). I guess if more and more people use them, even these expensive brands, then the vaping community will have a lot more people on their side to fight a ban.

I havent seen the commercial, and hope I dont but I went to the website...

No, this could ruin a lot of potential ecig users.
This Smoke Assasin, as you know, is selling the E Health Cig with USB pack.
Now they've got it on tv, an its $159.00

The cheapest ecig to buy, and quality, at the highest pricing around

People will buy it, atomizers will fail, batteries will die, and true experience will not be met. The customer will be ruined, UNLESS they find us or someone they know shows them differently.

This is worse than NJOY. I know they are high priced, but at least they have a -half- way decent product.

I was just sent an inhalerette free of charge to do a review. I will be doing my video review next week. Yes it is $159.00 with 20 carts which they consider to be a 1 month supply. they also have a $99.00 quick start kit if you call their 800 number and they do not sell individual packs of carts. Instead they sell them in monthly and weekly supplies. When you get the kit the 5 pack of carts are all 0 nicotine 1ea. vanilla, menthol, ry4, strawberry, pineapple. However they are using Nhale carts that you can buy directly from Nhale in whatever strength and flavor you might like. Inhalerette recomended to me that that the carts not be refilled due to biological contamination of the cart in between refills. This made sense as to me as germs can be nasty. However, I have had no issue restuffing or refilling. The kit only comes with one att and one batt. The vapor is actually ok once it is broke in but it is good for dipping or dripping. The bonus perk is that it fits the 510 manual batt perfectly. Out of respect to the companies request though I need to refer to this product as a personal vaporizer. There is also some features that do set it apart from other products such as an inhalation regulator. What this does is if you inhale to hard or two soft it cuts off. You have to learn to use just the right inhale pressure to keep it vaping. Also the light is on the side rather than the end. I kind of like this feature because it is easy to see. The down side is the carts are real small ( About half the size of A 510 cart ) As I said, the video will be out next week on YouTube as a Technosmoke review. I do think its an ok personal vaporizer but the small carts and style just are not for a heavy vapor like myself but I do use it to dip every now and again. The heavy price tag is the other deal killer for me but in the companies defense they have a great warranty. It is a 1 year warranty that covers the att and batt. Also if you break or loose your inhalerette personal vaporizer they will send you a new one no questions asked. The other plus is that the battery lasts a freekishly long time. The charge lasts the whole day and part of the next day of moderate vaping. Just be prepaired to refill alot or get used to dipping. I hope this sheds some light on your curiosity. I don't really see how the ads can be anything but helpful at this stage. If the numbers of vapers can reach some kind of "critical mass" it will be that much harder for the govt to ban then.

There are going to be good products and bad products, expensive and cheap, and the consumer will have to sort that all out for themselves just like everything else.

It will also be up to those who care, to keep their products or information sites high in the search engines, so they are readily found by the savvy ones who do their due diligence.

If nothing else, at least SOMETHING is being heard other than the spin from ASH and the FDA

I have heard them too...OK, so how in the world do CNN and FOX run these commercials for an untested, un-approved by the FDA drug delivery system. WTF, are they playing with us or what?
They get away with this by not marketing as a quiting device and also by refering to the product as a personal vaporizer rather than an Ecig or electronic cigarette. It all comes down to the evil word cigarette. I had a length discussion with the company about this exact thing. The other thing they have to do is test 2% of their products for quality and contaminants like those found by the FDA.

I posted my own thread about this today, because I was shocked, without searching to see if anyone else had already posted about it. I'm of two minds about it. I like to see the word being broadcast, but on the other hand, I worry that it is a shady dealer ala smoking everywhere, or smoke assassin. If only this forum had a gazillionaire member to produce info spots about the real benefits of vaping, and the upstanding suppliers on this forum, who don't make false claims, or require monthly fees. Still trying to wrap my mind and others whom I love that you can vape guilt free about harming yourself or others. (Well, as far as we know; we're not harming ourselves.) Funny how ingrained the demonization is, but that's another topic.
Thats not the half of the demonization. Companies like smoke assasin which offer a free healthy ecig via satellite radio works this way --- sells a 6 month supply of product (with a downsell of a 3 month supply) for $69.95 plus S&H...the way we hear it is that the e-cig is the loss leader on the sale because what they are really selling is the vacation and discount clubs as the upsell....profit margins on the clubs are nearly 100% and something like 30% of the people that call and buy the monthly refills get pushed into the clubs by the sales agents....this in my opinion is the bigger insult to the vaping community. with regard to that same company's advertising techniques the free offer and their claims of stop smoking I believe may be blatant violations of the federal trade commissions rules. Just food for thought;)

Got an answer to my question about strengths:

    Good Afternoon,

    The concentrations are:

    none = no nicotine
lo = 6 mg of nicotine per cartridge
med = 11 mg of nicotine per cartridge
hi = 16 mg per cartridge

Depending upon inhalation style and speed of use, a user would expect to total out around 125 to 150 inhalations per cartridge. Nhale Cartridges recommends that a session be limited to 6 to 10 inhalations. So at 10 inhalation session on a medium cartridge should deliver at between .44 to .73 mg of nicotine.

    Kindest Regards,
