If you guys haven't seen it yet, CASAA's vice president, Elaine Keller (Vocalek on ECF) did a presentation before the FDA panel at TPSAC last Friday. She did an absolutely fantastic job representing us!

Her presentation starts at about 49:55:

https://collaboration.fda.gov/p52343165/?launcher=false&fcsContent=true&pbMode=normal

I recommend anyone interested in tobacco harm reduction (and the attitudes we are up against fighting for e-cigarettes) watch the video above and the video from Thursday, July 21: July 21-22, 2011: TPSAC Meeting Webcast Information

Elaine's presentation also got a mention in the WSJ!
She did good. Crammed a lot of info into 10 minutes :p

I am bowing out for a few days...fell off a ladder and sprained my neck...I'm OK but a bit sore...and now loopy thanks to the meds I was prescribed...It was suggested I don't move my neck much so that leaves comp and kbd out...

Wow two in one week (ladders)... Did you get checked out? I hope you mend quickly.

So far I just watched her presentation. Tomorrow I plan to watch the whole thing. Thanks for the links Kristin it is very interesting.

The following speakers are particularily telling. Greg Connelly actually states that the death of one child from nicotine poisoning is one too many and that to downplay that is bad. Let's not mention that the death was actually from an NRT product - not even tobacco - and even if it had been from tobacco, that one death apparently outweighs the millions dying from smoking because they don't know the truth about smokeless products.

And even after hearing Elaine's point about why we are talking about nicotine when people are dying from SMOKE, the committee continues to dwell almost exclusively on nicotine dependence rather than smoking cessation. They also focus on addressing low risks of danger to non-smokers and don't even mention the positive impact on smokers.

Welllll anybody an OMG fan?
Not sure how soon I can get it mailed but I'm not going to use it soo... I'm thinking holly likes it.

I liked the candy bar but the omg has one of those flavors that reminds me of flowers in it... it's not my thing. VR has no worries about being unseated as my #1 but I will reorder the candy bar. I wish I knew what caused thaqt flavor so I could avoid it. It may be chocolate flavoring. because I taste it in the mocha ice cream too.

I love OMG. Did you not like it?

I'm here sporadically tonight, as my internet is in and out.

No it's got that taste to it I can't stand... I've tasted it in other juices (in every tiriamisu juice I've tried for one). I don't know what it is but it's not for me. Loved the candy bar and the candy cane. The OMG and mocha ice cream (sample) not for me. Too bad because I love the way the mocha ice cream smells (like chocolate cake batter to me).

I've never tried the Mocha Ice Cream. KBV has a lot of flavors I still haven't tried. But, I know what you're saying. Sometimes there's an underlying flavor that's difficult to pinpoint that you just don't like in certain juices...

Sorry Shannon, I just kind of glanced at your post the first time. Sorry you didn't like the OMG. I'll be glad to take it off your hands, though. :)

No big deal every new flavor's a gamble and I did find two new flavors I really like. 2 out of the 3 I bought is pretty good when comparing to past experience. PM me your addy and I'll mail it but it'll probably be next week when it goes out.
