I was trying to be neutral. I was trying to be good. Was this Not a really good idea? No one here or there made one reply to it. QuitSmokingMessageBoard.com • View topic - Positive affirmations: HAMR those problems away!

Don't reply to it if you read it.. just tell me if you read it already and what you thought.

I don't know much (actually anything) about HAMR other than what I just read.

I don't say this to hurt your feelings, but (to me) it reads like a late night infomercial. I can't get the picture of Billy Mays, hammer in hand, trying to sell me this.

EDIT: I should add... You are obviously passionate about it. I'm glad it works for you.

I was thinking the same thing! You know what they say about great minds...

I would also like the ability to use more than 5 ingredients. I know that's probably not a common issue for most people though. I also don't like how it handles pre-mixed bases. What size labels were you thinking?

I wasn't so much thinking of a specific size label, more of maybe copying the recipe specifics to the clipboard so it could pasted into a word processor or label program. Return address labels are a great size, though. The data could be recipe name, PG/VG/Flavor Ratio, and Nic strength.

OK... Got you. When I have some free time I'll start working on something. It'll get a heckuva lot of use, even if it's only by me. :) Plus it will allow me to reacquaint myself with algebra. Everything I program has to do with workflow, databases, etc... It can get quite dull sometimes. It'll be fun to write something for a hobby I enjoy.

Interesting - but why would it get you into trouble?

Weird you should mention him. I just heard today that Mays was a ....... addict and that contributed to his death. :( I really liked their TV show about inventions!

Playing at quitting-to me thats people who try but not really to quit-you know the types-a dr. or husband/wife or whatever wants you to quit cause either they have or don't at all & want to be with a nonsmoker. Thats my take cause I've been trying since the late 90's to quit but until my heart attack didn't really try all that hard.

Gotchya! :)

Well.. now I thought a lot of people used positive affirmations and it would help someone.

That's o.k... I'm about to get beheaded by both groups anyway. I don't give a .......n if the people don't give a chit what I say, facts are I am in keeping with the rules of posting there and that's good enough for me. The QSMB Rules do not say I have to walk on eggshells. I'm, tired of the BS - and its not coming from the administrators, its coming from a few pig headed members who think they know it all.. well I'm here to tell you.. every one of you can back out now because I for One am not gonna let these fools push me around. This is My fight. I started it, so to speak. I wont blame any of you , which I love you all, if you never wanted to have anything to do with me again. I'll miss you but I gotta do what I gotta do!

I want to see info posted over there that is fair and not bias. Giving the people all the info they need to make proper informed choices.

This. is My Demons Run.

Interesting - but why would it get you into trouble?

I just kinda found it shocking that no one posted anything about it., not, "Looks Interesting" or Perhaps I'll try it" or " That crap can't work" or " Have you had your meds today?" Well i didn't expect mush till someone read the website and check it our , but I expected something.. perhaps something was too much to expect.. - it shows mw a lot of those people dont give a good .......n about things that may help them quit, or that they all hate Me so much for doing THIS ( whatever their version of this is) to them that they won't reply to my thread if their lives depended on it. Oh well such is life.

I know Nate, and I think the world of everyone of you. but this might get ugly before it gets better, and I cannot ask any one to go into this with me. Just saying, you guys stick to what is true for you. I have my own truth. if that makes me go against the grain, or seem a lil pushy by counter point when I think something is in error or has an agenda, then so be it.

a friend today admonished me to take baby steps. I thanked them for it and felt they were right at the time, Sometimes I just don't know how to do that when there are lies and manipulations staring you in the face that have to be countered.

You have a lot of supporters, John. The good people here want to spread the word and help others in their fights against cigarettes. Standing up for what you believe in despite the naysayers and hecklers takes balls.

I salute you, my good sir!

Darn forum nanny!! Well, it won't censor "coke" and I'm not talking a brand of soda, lol!

(That was funny though - an ellipsis addict, lol)

Yeah... I heard that as well. I knew what you meant despite the "forum nanny's" best efforts to protect me from having to read someone's mention of an illicit drug. With all the talk about grammar and punctuation I just couldn't help myself.

I'm an "all or nothing" kind of guy (probably my addictive personality) so I fully understand your zeal. As long as your "truth" doesn't break the laws of physics, I think you and I will get along just splendidly. I'll have to rethink things if you start spouting off about the world being flat or the sun revolving around the earth.

I'll even register over at QSMB if that helps you out.
