No long time studies have been done. Most of this is speculation. vaping is relatively new so no one really knows what long term effects will have on your lungs or the rest of your body. I'm not saying by any means that it's as bad as smoking, but most of these 'studies' are nothing more than hypothesis.

My concern is with a dark warm area such as the lungs, introducing a water vapor consistently to them over time could that not turn into a fungus?

I am baffled to as why vaping would introduce more water into the lungs than breathing. Where is that water coming from?

I think he's thinking of the condensation.
If you take an empty glass, fill it slowly with a vape (so it stays in the glass and sloooowly evaporate) Do this 3-4 times and u'll have a tiny bit of "water" in the bottom of the glass. It's all the condesation that have build up.
And for that it require a few "refill" in the glass.

You don't vape like that either, you're blowing it out almost instantly so no worries.

Same here.
I used to get bronchitis about 3 times a winter, as a smoker. The kind of bronchitis where every breath hurts and that stays with you forever.
- Not one case of bronchitis since I switched to vaping. And I have been through 3 winters since then

But dear... just imagine all that medication that Big P was not able to sell because we did not get bronchitis and stayed healthy instead :(
My heart bleeds for them. NOT.

careful there anjaffm. dont talk bad about BIG P cause there in bed with BIG CIG. you wouldnt want to die from a bee sting in the middle of the night, even though your not allergic to bee stings. lol

So the point of your question is.....???

Seems like his point was to ask a question. :p

about a concern they had, and wanted to get some information.

Maybe we should have a sticky that says don't ask ANY questions if they contain ANY hint of wondering what the "harm" might be in harm reduction.

Harm reduction. That's what vaping is. At least, that is my understanding. So, people are going to ask about what risks "may" exist.

Nothing wrong with that. It seems that people are being made to feel unwelcome here lately by simply asking a question.....

Water is a waste product of cellular respiration which is released by your lungs on the exhale, which is why your breath steams glass. Inhaling vapor is probably no worse than what your lungs already have in them every time you exhale. But if you DO inhale (I do sometimes~) it may be uncomfortable initially because a vapor particle is larger than a smoke particle.

Really, it amazes me how we'd smoke with impunity and happily inhale burning paper and leaves without giving a single turd, but new vapers will agonize over every detail of vaping.

Yeah me too! I haven't had a cold since I started vaping 2 years ago. The last couple of years I smoked I was beginning to get bronchitis once or twice a year with its accompanying painful breathing. Not any more.

You must have been reading my mind, I thought the same thing when I read these posts and not only are we not paying exorbitant taxes, but I haven't had to buy over the counter or prescription meds.

I love it!!!

It used to amaze me too, but I'm considering that it has to do with the new vaper's rediscovered health. In most cases, his lung function has improved, sense of taste and smell has returned, and he's feeling increased stamina -- to say nothing of optimism for the future. He's feeling healthier and wants to keep on feeling that way. So it's no wonder that he's examining all aspects of the "healthiness" of ecigs and vaping.

I have no problem with new vapers asking questions. It gives us a chance to set the record straight and keep the information flowing!

RE Jethro Tull. It sure was a great time to be young. Too bad Ian couldn't get his back-up to dance along in synchro. About the topic: I'm still not sure that VG, being thicker, may not have a harder time delivering nicotine to the lungs. I did 90% VG for a couple of months and just recently changed to 70/30 PG/VG and I think I am absorbing nicotine differently. My lungs also seem a little clearer. My throat and tongue are more sensitive though. Since I also changed flavors maybe none of this info is reliable.

Omg I guess I had better quit taking showers, I might get mist deposits in my lungs. Give me a break.

This is exactly why i dont like this forum, people like this that think their better than everyone else and just start {MODERATED}, seems like every post has one of these - if you have nothing good to say about the topic then simply stay out of my thread, Sorry for asking a question on a forum ??? calm down
