Hey Everyone,

Are there any members here who vape e-cigarettes just as a smoking sensation and not to help them quit tobacco products?

Here is my situation, I am non-smoker, but did try a few cigarettes back in the days and love the smell and taste of tobacco; not the burning smell though, but actual flavor. So I am thinking to purchase the Smokeless Image or Bloog E-Cigarettes with tobacco cartomizers and try it out. However, as I was reading this forum, which is full of really good information and discussions, I noticed that some people had issues breathing after they were vaping for a few months. If I am not mistaken, all of them were previous smokers and tried to quit by vaping. I wonder if there are people here that had any type of the health issues/side effects form vaping who never smoked before?

I know that some people are allergic to PG, and you don't know if you are until you start vaping... But I am more interested to know about any other known health issues as I like to stay active and don't want to jeopardize my health. Also, when you vape, do you have to inhale to get the taste or you can vape just like smoking a cigar or a pipe without inhaling and still taste the flavor?

Thank you.

I quit smoking 10 years ago but started vaping because I really liked smoking and it seems to me like it eliminates the vast majority of health issues relative to smoking.

I've used both Greensmoke cigalikes and a Kanger EVOD. The EVOD and the right juice is a better pure "vaping" experience -- much larger quantities of vapor and much more nuanced flavor than I even remember from my pipe phase.

But I think the Greensmokes are much more like smoking cigarettes. They seem to have a much more cigarette like throat hit and nicotine effect, although I think with enough sampling and 'tuning' a more typical "vaping" setup could probably replicate this. And then there's the size/shape/hold vs. a larger pen-style battery and tank.

I like both -- vaping a milder, sweeter juice has an appeal different from the somewhat harder-edged Greensmoke, but there are times where the Greensmoke seems to satisfy in a more intense way than my EVOD setup.

99% of this, of course, is personal opinion but that's how I look at it.

I'm one who vapes just for the smoking sensation lol
i was never a smoker to begin with since the price/smell kept me from analogs, but i really do enjoy smoking from a hookah pipe every once in awhile lol
I fell in love with e-cigs due to the similarities of a hookah pipe.(less expensive and way more portable lol)

I've had no health problems since vaping, i currently only use 100% VG, no nicotine or pg.(not a fan of the throat hit)

Zero nicotine liquids, 100% VG, or as close as possible. Some people are sensitive or allergic to PG. That could account for their breathing issues. If it concerns you, just stay away from the problem. You'll get better vapor production from VG too.

Some people are sensitive to VG--I can't vape 100% at all; 30%VG is about all I can tolerate.

If youre not a smoker but are considering vaping, i think thats fine. if you find the right product you will enjoy it just as much, with less harmful effects. To be honest even the best ecigs deliver a sensation that is a little different than smoking a cigarette. The thing is that in many ways vaping offers a better experience than smoking. for one you don't have to hide in a smoking area, you get a nicotine buzz, the flavors are more interesting, enjoyable and customize-able, the health effect is not as damaging (no shortness of breath, etc.).
I think you can go ahead and start experimenting with some zero/low nicotine juices, and see how you like it. like many have said higher VG:pG may be something that you want to consider. to this point though i feel that vaping is not identical to smoking.
I would tell a friend to start vaping, but not to start smoking (note that this is my opinion only, i think that no neither habit is particularly ideal though vaping zero nicotine appears at this time to be relatively safe these days).
the chemicals in a cigarette are a trap and whether or not smokers (like me) want to admit it, most wish that they were not hooked. good luck..
