I agree that the 601 is a mellow, relaxed vaping device. But, I really do not get much flavor from my juices on this e-pipe. I have tried several juices from several manufacturers, in carts and dripped, but the 601 seems to dull them all out to the point they taste virtually the same - virtually tasteless. I am puzzled by this. I hate burning through juice if I get no decent flavor.

i am agreeing with you on the flavors being almost tasteless..im dripping right now some 555 from ps...in my minipipe...the flavor is great but no real throat hit...for me anyways

in my 601...tons of vapor and good throat hit...but almost no flavor.

im gonna keep at it...im still tasting some mint in it...which taste great in the 601

Fox3, first you get a lathe, then a stick of 7/16 brass stock. Drill a 6.5mm hole in the center about an inch or so(really does'nt matter) then drill a 8.25mm hole to 4mm depth. Tap this hole with a 9 x .75mm bottom tap, then tap the 6.5mm hole with the 7x.5mm tap and then part off the adapter at exactly 6mm length and then smooth the edges(chamfer) and you have just made an adapter to use a 510 atomizer on your mini-pipe.
When made like this it just butts the atomizer center pole to the pipe center pole for connection and the adapter has no internal piece.

Understand, *THANKS* !! Planning on getting an order into Enco for taps and dies as soon as I figure out a few more of them.

Thought about doing this on the lathe, but I suspect that would be a challenge and the taps are cheap :). Lazy me :).

i have found a way to warm up my e pipe and even heat the atamizer to clean. i got a baby medicine syrnge that has a white cone to give infants their medicine -- at most drug stores. i put the cone in the top of the pipe (-) the mouth piece. then i use a renoldys vaccuum bag sealer vacuum . these are in the zip lock bag section of wal-mart ect. the connection matches the size of the cone vaccuum. 20 seconds it heats the atomizor and you can even see the vapor in the clear air chamber. might work for hard to draw on e- cigs too. use at your own risk of course but it makes my e pipe real smooth and new again. i know their is a clean button but this pull is harder and heats it fast enough to make a difference. i only do this once a day usually after a long day of heavy vaping

i had to read what you wrote a few times to know which pipe you were talking about. you are referring the mini-pipe = RS888 right?...not the e-pipe = DSE601

Hey guys are these batteries safe to use in the 601Ultrafire 18350 1200mah 3.7v BUTTON TOP Rechargeable Lithium Battery Li-Ion UF18350 and with the stock charger that comes with the 601? I know there's some issues with unprotected batteries and such so I want to make sure before I buy them. Not too keen on burning the house down and all.

the positive "+" is raised on that battery..on the 601 stock battery...it is flush with a dimple.

the battery would work...but will be a bit too tall so the battery lever may not go over the positive end

I am in total agreement with your experience. Something about the 601 kills the flavors, and the vapor is sometimes weak (believe it or not). I enjoy using a Kissbox or other penstyle device running from 3.7 to 5 volts and always get good flavor and vapor. This is a puzzling yet satisfying device.

I have run JC Tennessee Cured, Ruyan Chocolate, JC Peach Cobbler, JuicyLiquids French Roast and JC Kona Coffee through this pipe and feel like I wasted a pretty hefty investment. I am seriously considering a zero nic formula for the pipe since it burns a good amount of fluid and I tend to puff more than inhale.

I have some Powerpuff (RY3) from Litecig (Shawn had a special on it a couple of months ago $3 for 10ml so I bought 200ml) and the flavor seems to come through all right. It's not super strong, but I can definitely taste it. I also tried butterscotch from MVS and a hint of that one trickled through, but I cut it down in a big way, I'm thinking full strength it would be good.

All of you disenchanted 601 people are giving me a little buyers remorse. I love the thing right now, but will I feel the same way in a week or two?

Thanks for the insight on the ultrafire batteries Raul - nice pick up on the positive connection. I'll just wait for Shawn or Wayne to get them in stock.

bri1270...dont you dare tell us you have buyers remorse :) j/k

i really enjoy the 601 soo much it has become my primary device....right now im only using mint in it and that is because...for me...it vapes great with mint...the flavor is not lost in it...just the opposite.....it is more intense with the mint.

i did try it with PS apple...cut 50/50 with vg...the flavor is there but tastes more like an apple seed...very strong...sort of acidic, vinegary taste

FYI - the rs888 mini-pipe is soon to be released with a manual switch. I haven't got my grubby little hands on one yet, but as soon as my people can get me one I'll maybe post a review or something.

Release has been delayed. May be ready to ship next week so best case is they'll be stateside the glorious first of June

Using my fantastic supplier connections, I'm now sitting on the couch with a DSE601, a copy by a company called Wye, and a straight-up no BS genuine $178 Ruyan "Bright Color".

Except for the difference between the terrible flavors that come with them and some cosmetic differences (wood quality and LED cover), they are all about the same.

The Ruyan V8 really didn't show its true colors for about a month, so I'll keep on it for a while to see if one deteriorates or improves.

ETA - it seems the flavor comes through a little better on the Ruyan, although it's hard to tell for sure since the carts aren't equal.
Also the parts are not interchangeable between the Ruyan and the 601's. Batt and Carts maybe but not bowl, LED cover or mouthpiece

I have an original color Ruyan e-pipe, which I purchased from HG. :)
All the mouthpiece, the led cap and the cart are interchangeable.
I am using the Ruyan mouthpiece on my DSE601 because I like it.
Considering Wyzarrd report, is the original color different from the bright color? 8-o
