E2 4 are available again at COV at this moment.

I grabbed my last pack from Clouds of vapor, they were listed as revision 4 and arrived as such.

Keep checking though, when they do come in they tend to fly out fast.

They are back in this morning at COV. I just checked my email and at 1107 central received notification they are available. Of course ordered some.

Sorry to hear of your problems Alice. It does sound like you got the ill famed 'bastomizers'. I got my samples from a member who got them from China and some r3's from Vapor Junction in the US. As the poster above said, COV just got a shipment in.

The variation in wick lengths is troublesome, especially w/ the XL's; some don't reach the bottom. While I haven't run into the problems you have I know it must be frustrating.

You're using a 510 device, right? If so, I'll gladly send you a real r4 XL to try if you want. You can PM me your address if you want to.

Turbo, you are so very kind I was getting ready to PM you and accept but checked my email and found notice that e2r4 were available, probably for only a very short time. I ordered XL 2.x and XL 3 ohm. The email was time stamped today 1107.

Woooooo Hoooooo

Thanks All

got mine from COV too about 2 weeks ago. Work great, except for the one i was messing with and broke the wire right after taking it out of the box.

The first thing i did on the other 2 that i'm using right now, was pull the wick out, snip the loops, and fluff up the string a bit, then repacked. They wick pretty well with the 50/50 pg/vg from FSUSA.

But like most people, the taste was hard to break free from. After fighting a very harsh primer taste on 1 for a week, i boiled it last night. As soon as i get home i'm going to put it back together and see it that helped.

I didn't boil but used water just under boiling, several flushes and soaks. After blow drying I put them in my rice filled container for a day to absorb more moisture out.

First few draws on XL flavor was improved but then it got bad again.

The regular, probably one of the "rodent urine" stiff wick, discolored, didn't improve at all.

I just ordered some from COV that became available sometime after 0730 today. Don't know how long they will be in stock according to what everyone is saying about them "flying out the door".

Wow this thread died in a hurry. I just ordered a pack from Vapor Junction and I have some PG base coming from One Stop DIY shop along with some new Lorann flavors to try out. At least with the PG I shouldn't need to thin the mix with distilled water anymore. PG usually makes my throat soar though.

I think this latest version are more tolerant of the thicker juices. The highest mix I use is 50/50 which I wasn't able to use in the previous versions but not having any issues now....I've also experienced less gunk buildup with the Flavourart flavorings...

OK, Now that more US vendors are carrying them, and hoping that they aren't getting the rejects that e-liquid pawned off to the regular consumers, I will make a small blurp on my experience with the supposed final revision cartos.

NOTE: all based on out of box functionality using 70/30 PG/VG DIY mix light flavoring

I was testing out a kr808 xl CE2 3 ohm (on a Tornego) and for the couple of cartos that I already tested I can say it's a huge improvement over the POS that I got when these were first released.

I filled them for a few times with the syringe, then filled by taking all the grommets out ( harder to align the slots of the most inner one with the wick, but IS possible)

I don't get any leakage,, minimal out the airway passage through the connection with my mix.

vaping/wicking is good when full, but it dwindles down well before carto is empty ( to use as much of the liquid you will have to either vape or set down the device with a slight tilt)

I don't have an excited feeling with these, but I can see how some of the masses will like them, I also can't confirm if the experience will be consistent from carto to carto or from other model threaded cartos.

I wouldn't sway anyones decision on purchasing the product itself since in my opinion it isn't a total fail and at the same time not necessarily the Holy Grail.

I would say if you are going to purchase direct from China that second thought might be needed since CS with e-liquid isn't up to par with some of the other more respected shops the vaping community has dealt with.

Final rating if I had to give one 3.75 out of 5 :D

Thanks for the report LGD. A good number of the XL's have wicks that are too short. At least some of the ones with longer wicks will vape the reservoir dry from a vertical position. Those that do, seem to keep the wick wetter and produce a better vape. In my opinion, this is the greatest fault that I am finding with the R4's.

As things stand now, many XL's need to be topped off when the juice level is about 1/2 way down. If we have to do that, we may as well be refilling a more convenient regular length E2.

I'm in full agreement about dealing with more respected shops.

Yeah the flavorart stuff gunks pretty quick, but I've been using 90% VG with a 10% distilled water thinner which has been working with modded E2s, but not out of the box stuff.
