there is 5 versions of semi R4's floating around so i doubt these brilliant ideas are doing any good.

Well brilliant ideas floating around is definitely a good thing for humans.
In fact I would even like to see detailed instructions and lots of details like I see here at ecf.

(At least now they're shipping you make-ups, as far as which existing versions are currently floating around in circulation.)

....... :pop:

(and I absolutely agree, if a carto lasts a week it's done its' job)

I have to disagree. If the electronic cigarettes are going to knock out the analogs, we need something that will give at least a month of service semi maintenance free. I get tired of buying cartos/atties all the time, getting maybe a week and either cleaning or tossing them.

A month on a $2 carto? That's just crazy talk! :p

Seriously, remember how much you spent on cigs? I was dropping close to $10 a DAY. Two bucks a week + juice is a bargain.

Edit to say: If you want real longevity, get a $3 LR 510 atty from Eastmall. I can't kill those things...

ill put it this way, if your not satisfied with the REAL r4's performance then your ..... out of luck.

if you are satisfied but would like some cool new things done, then I would hand in your suggestions to see if they will add it to the ce3 .

I haven't played with any R4's yet but after messing around with R3's I'm starting to hope they bring back the plastic cup again. The filler cap comes off and goes back on easily, and it doesn't leak.

This is discouraging... It sounds like the R4's are performing *worse* than the R3's. Bad taste even with no primer fluid (supposedly), wicking problems are back again...

I wouldn't say worse, that's if they're the real ones.. My r4 808 XL is doing better than my r3. I still have some 'bastomizers' (minus the glue/filler) to try but my 808 XL is doing so well I haven't bothered yet.

I liked the r2 filler cap a lot too. The plastic cup on the other hand... mine eventually deformed and leaked. I have one left. I might save it for an artifact..lol..but yes, the filler cap was super easy to get out, I do miss that.

if all your looking for is that hard plastic filler cap form the r1 and r2 then you can ask them to add some to your order, they have tons of them laying around the last time i asked.

yeah turbo, im with you, the ones im using are working well and better then the r3 and 3.5

I wonder if that cap would work on the ceramic cup? I think we determined a while ago it wouldn't. But yes, so far the r4 beats r3/3.5 hands down.

I just did a test, opened some 306 atomizers, all new , all have wick and primer and i recorded it.

i got them clean and then proceeded to taste one juice on a 306, took a few taste tests, then tried the same juice thats on a r4, same taste.
went on to the second flavor and same taste, the same thing happened for the next 3 juices, in the end the e2 made 1 flavor stand out more(strawberry chocolate) and the 306 made the grapeape mor epronounced but still great on the e2. the other 3 flavors where the same on both.

So in the end i knew i wasnt crazy.

i think the vgo is a 4.2 battery, my kr808's are

the next batteries I get may have to be a mod or maybe a battery with a user-changeable option of LED or mini-usb
like the kit GhettoCowgirl got for $27 delivered (except that one has no user option of LED)

It's also the same shame with the batteries in this day and age, because they need to be able to be unscrewed, so that I only get the sleeves shipped, or just the button module, or a cone or the LED tip.

Even Boge seems like they're into it already also, with their Leo that has a mini-usb tip:
e cigarette kit Large battery capacity new "LEO" - Detailed info for e cigarette kit Large battery capacity new "LEO",e cigarette kit,e cigarette kit Large battery capacity new "LEO",LEO on Alibaba.com

I guess lots of ecigs will have a mini-usb tip, the question is who will make the first one that the user can decide which tip they want on a certain day or occasion, and what color led tip, etc.

with me it's not a wicking problem
.... it's a wicking problem 'taste'

yes there is a taste problem, but this taste I'm talking about is identical to the taste of a battery going bad and in need of charging
It's a false taste because I know darn well the battery is still good because I can immediately switch to a lower ohm carto and then my battery acts like it's good all of a sudden and can then keep vaping for hours

So with me I suppose the best way to describe it is that so far I only notice a wicking problem TASTE caused by using a very high resistance carto of 3.1 ohms

I'm not getting the dead battery taste but rather the taste of death.
after taking apart the first carto that went bad (tastewise) I came to find that the inner lip of the seal which was added to prevent leaking, had melted onto the coil and I was vaping plastic.
needless to say a fewseconds and the use of an exacto later its all good.
:)
