ok i have a question for you okr gurus. I want to make a vv out of this but i want to put a 3 way sliding switch it in and a display i want the switch to be up fireing, down atty off set voltage, and middle everything off is there a way to do this and if so can you show me a drawing of how i should wire it?
Link didn't work for me. Right this minute I'm not finding the old invoices... but I think it was THIS switch.and will this work as a 3 way? Digi-Key Part Search
no the part number for the button is 529PB-ND i can see it fine but others cant see it through the link for some reason
what i would like to do with the switch is: when its in the up position the display and the 510 connector are both powered, when it is in the middle position i would like everything off and when it is in the lower position i would like the display and the okr unit to be powered in order to change the voltage setting without the 510 connector to be powered on
Why will my wiring on the DPDT not work? IF I understood his requirements then the meter is on anytime the reg is on so no need to switch the meter. To cut off power to the regulator also in the off position get a TPDT to give yourself another set of contacts for the battery feed.
DPDT = Dual pole Dual throw
TPDT = Triple pole Dual throw

Look for switches for flashlights. I bought one that was dual slide and mom pushbutton. My regular comp got a blue screen so I can't look up where right now.for the life of me i can find a dpdt with a momentary on , here is a on-off-on switch that would work though MS23BFW01 NKK Switches Slide Switches

I also thought he would want a setting that the meter would be off. Made that mistake on my first meter installation and the cycling meter was very distracting and annoying flashing all the time. Also you are only getting out reading on the regulator to atty and not battery readings. Might as well get full use of the meter if you have it.
