Seem to be having tank issues today. Filled one and then remembered that I did a dry burn on the coil and didn't clean afterwards so poured juice into another tank and the coil in that one was bad so poured it into a third tank and finally can enjoy the vape.

Hmmm....I have never rinsed after a dry burn. What is the purpose? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm just curious. I still haven't learned all the tricks of the trade, so to speak.

I dry burn and then rinse and burn again while moist and then rinse again. Just the way I do it as I have done a dry burn before and then when I used the coil had a nasty smoky burn taste so I just rinse them. I do notice after the first burn and when I stick them into the water hot and then shake that most of the time there is a lot of black stuff that comes out. Not sure my way is the proper way or if there is a proper way, this just seems to work best for me. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

Hmmm...I never thought of rinsing before. When I change wicks, if I'm in between coil changes, I just dry burn till it looks like what I think is "clean". Has tasted fine so far, but then maybe I don't know what I've been missing. I'll be trying this tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

Joan, you've got it right! At least in my opinion. I think rinsing after a dry burn is mandatory personally ... like you mentioned, you want to remove the ash that is leftover from the dry burn. I also lather, rinse and repeat like you ... it's quick and does seem to be worthwhile to me. :D

I started doing pretty much the same thing. The second rinse takes out whatever burned ash/gunk thats sitting on the coil after the dry burn. I rinse, soak hot water, rinse, dry out briefly, dry burn, rinse, soak hot water, rinse, dry all the way and I'm good to go
