I saw that thread too, Ivapus. I Pmd Kenetix to ask where he was buying with no reply lol.

When the VZ flavors first came out, I researched and am fairly sure that I found where they are buying from. The thing is that the smallest amout available is 1 liter that I have found. You would just about have to be a supplier or in a coop to manage those quantities.

Yeah, I didn't think the fact their source wasn't mentioned was an oversight. They seemed to go out of their way not to mention it, and the coop thread seemed to exist only for record-keeping purposes with much of the key information being exchanged quietly behind the scenes via PM. Perhaps the supplier has some sort of temporary exclusive agreement with certain vendors requiring non-disclosure or non-compete or something like that, but who knows.

LOL, most likely they are using the TPA or Capellas and not these concentrated. You might be surprised to see how many people use 20-30% and sometimes more with those. Seems crazy to me too :)
Salem: they are using regular TPA and such. I just don't think it is wise to vape that much flavorings either. It amazes me that folks go that high. I stopped using flavorwest because I had to go to 20%.

My experience today with Flavor Art Condensed flavor called Dark Vapure
Description on site
Dark Vapure -Dark Vapure Flavor Strong and dark with a hint of cocoa. Start by using 1%

Made 3ml batch other day @ 70pg/30vg and 12 mg nic strength , flavored at 1.7% instead of starting off the recommended 1 % from website.
Vaping in stainless tube ce2 cart @ 2.6 -2.8ohm tested on vv mod at 3.2 to 4.2 volts higher volts produced more vapor and warmer vape but still no throat it at all.

Nice vapor production and sweet taste cannot detect tobacco and to my surprise no throat hit at all.
For me not a main ingredient in a mix but maybe used as an added note to a main ingredient.

I am thinking more along the lines that they just want to keep the info to themselves. Most mfgs are eager to sell to anyone that offers to pay them lol You could be right though.

Nice informative review, DL. You are pretty good at this already :)

Well if that were the case I would expect to see more US vendors carrying them, and to see them front and center on the Chinese sites like HC and Alibaba.

Thanks Salem, i dumped the vg i bought sometime back from the healthfood store which i suspect was making me hack when i would add a little bit to my 100% pg vendor bought RY4.

I decided to buy a 60ml bottle of vg from where you mentioned to me in past along with nic and pg and went and started all this DIY out at 70pg/30vg and now not hacking hardly at all hmm.
Since then they sent me coupon for 5% off if i spent 50.00 good for this weekend which was used today.
10% off if i spent 100.00 or more but not this time around.

So i bought a few items to last me a little bit but down the road will get bigger bottles of each .

1 of : 25 ml Measuring Cylinder - Borosilicate Glass

1 of : 250 ml of Propylene Glycol USP Grade

1 of : 250 ml Vegetable Glycerin USP Grade Kosher Certified

1 of : 500 ml of 36 mg Flavorless Nicotine Liquid - Propylene Glycol USP Grade

Signature Original Caramel.

Mixed 30ml at 70pg/30/vg 12mg strength nic.
Flavour Art Oryental 4%
Signature Original Caramel 1.2%

Vaped after several days and the signature caramel was dominant as its toted as a dark caramel flavoring .
For me personally this will be a great vape once i tone down the caramel some as it definitely is stronger than the flavour art caramel which by the way in its bottle is dark in color compared to the Signature caramel which is orange-ish in color .

So i will cut the Signature caramel to 0.5% or 3 drops to the 30ml mix as opposed to 1.2% or 7 drops and see .

Edit : im going to make a smaller batch at 10ml instead of 30ml not to waste which should have been done in first place.

Ok shame on me.
I just looked at the bottles i have mixed on other bookcase and had mixed a bottle already with paper note under it grrr must be getting old and forgetful .

Its a 10ml batch 70pg/30vg

Oryental RY4 @ 5% 0.4 ml 8 drp
Original Caramel @ 1% 0.1 ml 2 drp

hmm going to vape this later and see if that batch is yet to caramel strong which it may be.
I noticed i up the percentage by 1% on the Oryental which not be but them that spells it funny .

Could not wait and tried it and impressed with it, its better than a similar batch i made that tastes like a vendors stuff i been buying for a while .
This one is almost perfect for me .
When i make final size in 60 ml glass bottles which i need to order i'll simply minus a drop or so of the Signature caramel and this will be final on this experiment.

I meant to tell you that the FA Caramel gets much stronger with steep time. I had to learn to mix it light and let it steep awhile otherwise it would me too much in just a short period of time.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your mixes :)

Great news, DL! I did not have to wait long at all to see what you thought of the flavors lol

I am pretty sure that Randy uses DOW PG and VG. Not only USP, but also Kosher. It is all that I use too. You just reminded me to place an order too. I agree. Not all VG and PG are created equal.
I don't use the food grade stuff although I do see many that do :)

DL, FA flavors are so concentrated that they truly do get stronger with steep time IMO. Just a suggestion but you may want to try the FA Caramel at a low% when you get around to making a large batch. The flavors that I use FA for I make in 120 ml. I go very low on flavoring % and they only get better with time.

Of course, if the TPA works better for you, that is great too.

Interesting side note: Most Caramel flavoring contains molasses. No wonder why it is so clogging to attys and cartos lol

Sd yes i think so for my palate .

Im get confused with the abbreviations Salem im sorry and probably asked you or Sd in past i forget so is

FA = Flavour Art ?

TPA = ?

Signature is name on bottle of caramel called "Orginal Caramel" i bought now reading the larger paragraph on website i see its Perfumers Apprentice that makes it i guess its a signature series of theres, is that the TPA abbreviation ?

Yes your so right caramel clogs atty's in no time this is so true. Even the vendors ry4 stuff always did that with my different atty's low and regular res ones and when it comes time to clean its like a black ball of glue on them the stainless ce2 carts i just toss though.
I will heed your good advice and mix few batches and put them to the side and not touch them for a while .

So far tobacco express and Oryental flavoring as main ingredient are winners for me.
The 2 others both of which are RY4 and are clear color i have yet to try and im curious , maybe tomorrow or Monday.

FA = Flavour Art
TPA = The Perfumers Apprentice aka The Flavor Apprentice aka Signature Flavors at Eciexpress
FE = Fruit Express
TE = Tobacco Express

No worries, DL. The abbreviations can be very confusing until you get used to them.

Oops, almost forgot LA for Loranns which I don't use :)
