Loranns I think is the most horrendous flavoring ever! JMHO
The thing that you have to keep in mind is that these flavorings and their additives have been created for food application. There have not been any studies on inhalation of food flavorings or additives to date.
I feel sure that inhaling food flavorings is much better health wise than inhaling cigs. I just feel better keeping everything as low as possible for now in case 10 years from now we find out that inhalation of food flavorings cause us to grow an extra limb or something lol
I am pretty sure that Randy uses DOW PG and VG. Not only USP, but also Kosher. It is all that I use too. You just reminded me to place an order too. I agree. Not all VG and PG are created equal.
I don't use the food grade stuff although I do see many that do![]()
I'm pretty sure there are some vape specific flavorings..guessing you we're just generalizing?
Couldn't agree on keeping the flavorings low (regardless of their purpose).
Nope. Not that I am aware of. Testing would have to be done in order to have flavors made specifically safe to vape. Flavour Art is supposed to be doing testing, but that will not be anything that is completed quickly.
I didn't say 'safe to vape' and neither did anywhere that I heard of. I'm guessing many of the tobacco express flavorings are made for vapers.
The flavorings that we use to make eliquid are food flavorings.
Here is a good read http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/technical-research/206355-testing-flavors.html
I must be a tightwad. I keep looking at the IKV 8.99 atties and just can't add to cart. Plus one has to buy a special drip tip for the thing... ARggggg.
I am excited to utilize these new flavorexpress flavoring because using less flavors has been a priority in my vaping regime.I still need to figure out what to do with my unused flavorings. Keep them for comfort?
I find it hard to Imagine that, for example, RY4 double is a food flavoring. But if it is, I did hear somewhere that someone (company), was making 'vape specific' flavorings. Again, not 'safe to vape', just flavorings made with vaping in mind, not food (I know solid stuff here). =)
I heard that rumour too. I just don't think it is much different than food flavorings when it comes to vaping them. I think that I read that in the VZ thread. JMO![]()

Wow, really?![]()
You might want to start off at 0.5% and go up depending on your taste. I have used TPA and had great results with that percentage. However, I don't like very sweet so YMMV.So I made raspberry and blackberry
The jury is still out as to if I made them right or not.
Both made at 3%
Question. How do I know if I need to make them stronger or just need to add a sweetner. They are not sweet enough for me.
Also how do I add fa cotton candy (which is the sweetner I have) to these flavors?
I mean what percentage?
