@braveminion I hope you're feeling better today.

With regards to the broken tank: It sucks a little and I felt a little apprehensive, even though it's no fault of mine. Thanks for sharing that faulty vape mail does happen, and I hope the vendor will offer a speedy resolution.
Thanks. I'm doing OK. The pain has eased but still swinging between feverish and freezing cold. I guess the infection is still hanging about.

My vape taste is back though so that's helping me stay sane :)

Hi again,

With regards to my broken tank, I'm glad to report I've received a speedy response from the vendor; however, it has left me a little confused.

In their words: "Sorry to hear about that, if you some how smash that one too i'll give you a refund :) Have a good one!"

By "that one too" the vendor is referring to the spare glass tube. For the sake of transparency, I had advised them that the spare tube was fine.

After receiving their email a few phrases immediately popped into my head, such as "I don't want any freebies, so no thank you. I just want what I have paid for" and "The way you've structured your sentence insinuates that I smashed the tank". Opinions which I consider to be justified; however, maybe a bit too aggressive. Any suggestions guys? Am I misreading their response? And am I overreacting?

I am not certain, Kay. If the vendor thinks you broke the glass, it could be a misunderstanding. If he thinks it's OK it arrived broken because you have a spare, that's not OK.

Thank you.

My email to the vendor was detailed and precise. I did state that it had arrived damaged, and that it was revealed during it's unboxing. I do not think they could have misunderstood it.

Then I think it's time for another email: repair, replace, refund or fasten your seatbelt.

@suprtrkr That's a shame really. I didn't want to end in this position :(

I'll try to say something similar without sounding aggressive, I tend to sound aggressive when I feel strongly about something. There are few Aussie based vendors, and even fewer with good prices and new products..
(Sigh) Then perhaps my advice is wrong, Kay. As disgusting as that is.

No! I do not consider that to be true. You have helped me immensely over the past month and I consider all of it to be invaluable. I thank you again and wish for you to continue helping others. I'm already hooked on vaping. I'm already certain I do not need cigarettes in my life anymore. Thank you and to everyone else on the forum for all the good work which you've done and continue to do!

Hey guys, you're awesome! Thanks again for all of the advice. I've got to admit that I'm more confused than ever. I'm going to go through these replies and read them all again, slowly. Them I'm going to google everything until I sort of understand, and of course watch countless YouTube videos. I feel super out of my depth but I remember feeling that way when I started vaping. I thought I would never understand what I do now so I know it will click eventually.

@KayP I still can't taste my liquid. Right now I'm using up this awful mango juice. It doesn't matter since I can't taste it. Turns out I have an awful cold come on. I guess that is the reason I can't taste my vape. Maybe it was coming on when I thought I had vapers tongue? Either way the result is the same and it sucks!

Bummer about your broken tank. Have you had any response from the vendor? A reuleuax RX200 is on my list. I've decided it will be my home vape since it is pretty heavy. Did you get the black or white?

Making your own coils is a bit scary at first but it's addictive. I don't think a day as gone by without me rebuilding one of my RDA'S. Not because I needed to, just because it's fun lol

My local shop will do your first build on an RDA you buy there for free and it's 5 quid after that. Or for the cost of a stamp you can send the deck to me and I'll return it ready to drip ;)

Amazon has some great tool kits to get you started but on fast tech you can get 50 pre made coils that just need wicked for about 2 pounds. You can choose from any type of wire and whatever ohms value you choose. The wicking is easy, as is fitting the coils to your deck once you get the hang of the individual RDA you are using.

Then DIY e liquid to feed your dripper is the next step lol

I made 6 flavours this morning. Impatiently waiting for them to steep!

Hey, I just may hold you to that! Sending a deck that is. I really don't have a lot of interest in building at the moment but I do have an interest in dripping so that leaves me in a bit of a fix. I don't completely understand what my options are at this point. I'm going to have to look into it a little further. What mods are suitable for dripping? What kind of wattage? I was thinking that my next mod will be the Reuleaux RX200 and then buy all of the stuff I need at the same time. I would like a mod that I would use exclusively for dripping. I'm weird like that. I'm eagerly awaiting my Smok Micro One kit.

I never did receive the could you sent. I wonder where they got to?

I've probably asked before, but how long have you been vaping? Did you and your partner quit cigs and start vaping at the same time?

Can you please remind me what you are getting. I remember you were looking at the R8 kit. I had a look at it and it does come with premade coil heads so you don't have to stress about coil building.

It's your body trying to recover from years of cigarette abuse. Hang in there! Keep calm and vape on!

I have not yet received another response after the initial one. As you could have guessed, I was taken aback by what they said and the way it was said. I unboxed my RX200 recently and I'm very pleased with. It's only 820mm in height, compact and feels good in the hand. A little weighty though with 3 batteries in it, but I still like it. I got the black one. The other colour reminds me of toiletry accessories :p

Yes! it was probably 6 months before I could really taste a vape. And having a cold doesn't help in the slightest. A large percentage of the sense of taste is actually just the sense of smell -- maybe 75%-85% -- so if your nose is blocked, you really can't smell much at all, and nothing much has any taste. Including the vape, unfortunately.

I have a lot of trouble with my sinuses in the winter, due to running the furnace drying out the air -- wake up every morning completely blocked -- until I got a cool-mist humidifier a few weeks ago. That thing is a godsend! Instead of being completely blocked, I wake up and just blow my nose, and it's completely clear!

Any kind of mod that will power the dripper is suitable for dripping. With drippers, like tanks, the wattage must be matched to the coil. The higher the coil value, the less watts it will need and tolerate. Lower coils want more power. I guarantee you, a RX200 will be more than more than enough. I don't know anybody who actually vapes at 200 watts-- you'd need titanium lips, a stainless throat lining and leather lungs; at 200 watts, the vape is hot-- but the wattage you require will depend on how low you want to coil your dripper and how much cloud you want to blow. Your Smok Micro 1 is an 80 watt mod. I'd be surprised if that wasn't enough power for just about any kind of vaping you intend to do. If you use really complex and massive TC coils, you might want more, but it seems unlikely in wattage mode. Just as a suggestion here, if you want to use your dripper to test new juice flavors, you should set the coil and air and watts to match the tank you're going to vape the juice in. Otherwise, pick anything that seems good to you. I like to switch up, myself. I have various drippers coiled from 1.0 to .12 ohms.

Yes, it's the Smok R80 w/TFV4 mini tank, otherwise advertised as the Smok Micro One. I'm still totally lost. I know if I wanted to drip on this device I would need the R2 micro kit? I think that's what you said. I don't really know what that is though. I haven't had time to look into it all. Other than that, what else would I need? Like say I had to write a 'start to drip' shopping list, what would be on it? Also, what is the difference between an RDA and a RBA?

I'm glad you're happy with the RX200. I think it's an awesome mod from what I've read and watched and I can't wait to get one. Do you think you'll be taking it out and about or is it too heavy? What gear do you own and do you have a favourite?

I have a question for the drippers. Do you drip exclusively or do you also use a tank? Hey, what is the non dripping way referred to anyway? So, I'm guessing you can both subohm and +ohm when you drip right? What is the experience like and how does it differ to regular vaping? Do you tend to go through more juice?

I think that's me all questioned out for a little bit. ;)

And @KayP, aargh! I loved the look of the RX200 in white and blue. Now I see toiletry accessories! I can't unsee it! Well, I don't like black so I guess I'll buy a skin when I get the mod. It might he a while, as much as people tell me not to, I HAVE to buy the VPark 30w next. Perhaps it performs terribly but it so damn cute. Anyone seen it?

@Waxxiii The R2 Micro Kit is just their fancy name for the RBA (rebuildable deck) which will allow you to build your own coils, but it is not included in the Smok Micro One Kit itself and must be purchased separately. As I said earlier, Micro One Kit does include two premade coil heads.

I was going explain to you what I understand; however, check this thread out for a better explanation about RDA, RBA, RTA, etc: Differences RBA, RDA, RTA

I just took it out for the first time. It feels a little heavy in my pocket, but it manageable. I carried it in my bag instead.

I take my Subox Mini out all the time. Most times I carry it in my bag. I have also carried it in my pocket; I prefer the shirt pocket.
