Thanks, and yes I'm moving up in watts very quickly whilst trying to taste this juice. Rayon is on my shopping list. Its known as cellu cotton right?

Yes. It is available online. Here in the states we buy it in (10-lifetimes-worth) giant boxes at beauty supply stores. Here's the website of the most common stateside manufacturer. Regular, not reinforced. I find it wicks and resists burning better than cotton, and lasts longer in use as it doesn't gunk up as easily. I find (others disagree) it has a noticeable taste when first installed; you can taste the wick like a (very) mild dry hit. This goes away after the first ml or so of juice (I call it "rayon break in") and is thereafter the cleanest tasting wick I have yet found.

I'm chucking a lot of cloud all of a sudden, a big difference from the subox mini. I just hope I'll taste more soon, flavour is more important to me. Thats why I stayed away from tanks like TFV4.

How long have you been off cigarettes? It really does take a while for the tastebuds to recuperate. It also strikes me that what you have going on may not actually be a cold, but the "quitters' flu" -- basically just withdrawal, though it feels a lot like the immune system in hyperdrive as it always is with a cold or flu.

I started vaping and immediately stopped smoking around 22nd Dec 15, but then around 3 weeks ago I did relapse for 2 just days (not my proudest momemt)? I endured vaper's tongue for 2 weeks and my taste returned early this week. Yes, I understand it's related to my immune system trying to repair itself and my body. I have tried to cope with it all quietly; however, after I threw out my back this morning, I felt absolutely horrible. On the plus side the sniffles have left and my Aromamizer is a little champ. Happy days :)

I never had that quitter's flu experience, at least this time; probably because I quit so gradually, over about 3 wks' time; my body adjusted as I gradually eliminated cigarettes, so that when they were finally all gone, it really wasn't that big a thing.

But the first time I ever tried, cold turkey, in 1984; I quit initially because I had the most godawful case of strep, just the thought of smoking was agony. I got over the strep within a week or so, but by then, the real withdrawal had set in, and it was another month before I really felt worth a damn. Craving every blessed second of every single day, even sleeping. I made it another couple of months, 3 months total, till I just couldn't stand it one more second, and went back to smoking.

I am also tried to quit cold turkey many many times and it was never easy, in fact it was downright horrible, and everytime when I gave in to the cravings the flu would magically stop. Therefore from this point on, I shall no longer call it the quitter's flu, but the winner's flu.

Really the only thing about this that made it worthwhile to try it, was that I didn't have to do it all at once. I just gradually replaced more and more cigarettes with vaping; it was almost effortless. The only one that really required any effort was the last one -- but then once I figured out how to inhale a vape properly, even that one wasn't that bad. Of course after my appendectomy and relapse, it did take some real effort, but I knew it was worth it, because I knew it was *possible* -- just having that knowledge and having experienced it, took a lot of the trauma out of it. Then, when the cravings came back, WTA let me persevere.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Since changing the coil I'm getting a ton of dry hits. I never had that problem before. Any ideas? I did notice that this cool had smaller holes. Is it possible that the wicks are not getting saturated enough because of this?

Might want to consider a deep well Magma RDA. Could read:
2015: The Art of the Drip - A Dripping Primer - Spinfuel eMagazine
Istick 20 can handle 2 ohm builds easily. No such thing as dry hits, the dripper will warn you.

I just received an email back from the vendor regarding the Griffin's broken glass tube in which he exlains he did not intend to suggest that I broke it, only just it was a genuine offer from him to give me back my money if my spare glass was to break as well. He's already sending me another tube now.

Aww shucks, now I feel aweful writing that email to him. I'll have to apologise to him. Happy days.

I exclusively drip now. The tank is just so unsatisfying after dripping in my personal opinion. I like huge airflow to make pretty clouds lol

I really don't mind building on your deck if it helps introduce you to it. It would also save me pointlessly taking my own apart out of boredom lol

I'm currently using the wotofo lush with dual Clapton kanthal giving me a tiny little resistance of 0.19. The other half is also a dripper but he prefers dual Clapton SS at about 0.5.

We started vaping about 3 years ago but continued to smoke a reduced number of cigarettes too. We started dripping 4 weeks ago and we haven't smoked since. Dripping isn't like smoking in so far as the action involved etc but I find it much more satisfying so I don't miss cigarettes.

It's turned into a bit of a hobby with me. I'm undergoing treatment for 2 different cancers at the moment so I spend all my time at home. I can easily pass a couple of hours rebuilding mine or Chris's RDA's or trying some new weird diy liquid recipes. I've actually had quite a few success stories with the juice. Especially custard type flavours.

I have a pink velocity clone on the way and tomorrow I'm going to buy an ice cubed 2 just because it looks so cute. I will fully admit to suffering from shinyitis. We had our neighbour in with us last night, he is a vaper but I sent him home with some wire, cotton, a spare RDA and some of my juice. I think I have converted him.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I haven't been on line much.

@braveminion and @AndriaD Thank you for sharing so much of your personal life with us today. It means so much to us all to hear that even though people are going through so much, they still persevere and work towards a better life. And on top of that make time to help strangers in any way possible, even the newbs who can repeatedly silly questions, such as 'Will my torch 18650 battery blow up my vape?'. In this day and age I think no one in their right mind does not know the harmful effects of smoking; however, it has become quite the norm to ignore the warnings; I did. Whilst smoking may start of as just a hobby, it still always leads to addiction and a coping mechanism. I am very glad to have found this marvelous invention called vaping. It helps so many smokers realise that there is still something better and not all good things come at cost.. (well in the sense of health and well being, entirely different on the wallet :p). Thank you again, and also to you @suprtrkr sir, I fully intend to be a sponge and soak in as much knowledge you are willing to share, until you get sick of me :p

After saying all that, I will now be a spoilt brat:

Spent the entire day shuffling around like an old penguin. Went off to work with an almost empty Aromamizer tank, so not much vaping but I definitely smelled like yogurt the whole day. Went to the physio in the afternoon, who did not do much and advised me to take nurofen and panadol (pain relief medicine). Endured a strong and sudden storm in the afternoon, came back home to discover the power was out. Flipped main power back on, filled my Aromamizer to full and cleaned up the leaking tank. Then found out I had no internet and that my modem might have died as a result of the surge. Now, I sit with a smile on my face and my vape in my hand. Oh happy days hehe :)

Is the TFV4 known for not being so good with flavour? I'm planning on getting another tank anyway but I like the small ones and I'm finding that most are huge. I'll have to keep looking. I looked at the Orchid V3 last night. Do you know anything about that one?

I don't have one, but I'm in another thread with people who love the TVF4. I am told it's pretty good on flavor, but the coils male a difference; and which coil does it for you depends on personal preference.

I have this problem too, terribly bad, though it doesn't have a single thing to do with the clouds, which I don't really care much about either way. For me it's just flavor, and also the noise that tanks make. I used Kayfuns for almost a year, got 4 of 'em, so you'd imagine that I got pretty good at building/wicking them. But after having used Achilles RDAs since about April... now I can't make a Kayfun vape worth a flip. It's very distressing, but even with a nice 1.8-2 ohm coil, nice Shiseido cotton, everything perfect... all I can taste is cotton, and the racket sounds like the house is burning down, all that popping and crackling and bubbling and gurgling. My Achilles are silent, or nearly so; not a bit of pop or crackle, just a little sound of the air from the one that still has the screw in it -- the one without the screw is perfectly silent. They only gurgle a bit when they need refilling -- that's how I know it's time, since they're full-metal bodies.

I just hate that those Kayfuns are going to waste, I used to love them so much. :(
