I've tested Efest Purple Efest 3100 mAh these side by side the Panasonics and nearly all other, it wipes the competition clean for vaping 8-10 watts. Just unbelieveably long lasting. For 13 hrs on the road, I can chain vape and the battery still has plenty juice.

Problem is it won't work in the best vaporizer out there, the Provari.

Is there a battery that matches it, that works with the provari?

Also I know with Li-Ion batteries its important to charge an 18650 at at least 1A, stop at a certain point, all sorts of things. I was a flashaholic and we found a budget charger that met all the criteria for 6 bucks.

For these high capacity batteries is this sort of thing important or will any ole' charger work OK. If not any leads for a budget charger?

Thanks

Why do you need a 1A charge?
There is a high quality charger that meets your requirements but does not charge at 1A.

The Xtar MC1 is a super charger for $6, however, it charges @ 0.5A.

Charging at lower current is fine. It is actually less stressful for the battery to charge at lower current. It just takes longer. If you have the time, lower charging current is the way to go for overall battery lifespan.

That's the opposite of the old LiON batteries used in high power flashlights which perform best with a quick 1 A charge, that's why I was asking.

Only two button-top batteries will come close to the capacity (mAh) of the 3100 mah Efest flat-top:

Orbtronic NCR18650PF 2900mAh 10 amp button-top battery. (uses a re-wrapped Panasonic cell)

Panasonic NCR18650PD 2900mAh 10 amp button-top battery.

These are both IMR/hybrid high-drain, safe-chemistry batteries. Battery Basics for Mods

For mid-priced quality chargers, the Xtar WPII-2 and Nitecore Intellicharger i2 are most recommended.

The top-of-the-line chargers are either the Xtar VP-1 or the Pila IBC. These two chargers are "smart chargers" and have the ability to recognize and revive an over-discharged battery. The VP-1 also has a nice real-time voltage meter in the LCD display.

Personally, I use only the Provape-recommended AW IMR batteris in my Provari's. The AW 18650 lasts me an entire day in my Provari's.

I love these batteries - using the button top in my Provari's, and the flat top in my Evic Supreme and Kick 2 equipped mechs. Note that there have been tests showing that these output significantly less than the advertised 20A continuous. I do NOT use these in unregulated mechs or vv/vw devices with an amp limit above 6A, just to be safe.

I'm not sure about other peoples experience, but the button top fits my Provari without a gap, both with the stock extension cap and my TrevVapor cap.

Also note that the button tops will not fit in the Evic without a battery cap gap, but the flat tops fit fine.
