Never claimed I trusted Efest. I think I established that they are misleading, which is dangerous. Thank you for providing a link to a test. This is a step in the right direction.
... There was a test on the first page of this thread that was at 20 Amps...with the name of that website in the background.

Edit- so now you have this battery at 2, 3, 5, & 20 Amp tests..

Does anybody here actually know how many LI-MN battery manufactures there actually are?

I ask this because in some other manufacturing areas there maybe only 1-3 actual plants period, Everything on the market is a brand re label of one of those. Many times these products will be re label of another order to meet a current (no pun intended) distributor order. Each brand making different claims and offering differing warrantees.

From what I have read, much of it on this group.

AW does not make anything. (people seam to believe they are good testers of "someone else's" battery)

Sony rewraps some (maybe all?) batteries. I personally hate all Sony products, in my opinion company has been skating on their old reputation and produce crap.

Efest rewraps some (if not all?) hated like a step child by some. Have not actually heard of any real problem yet. People that use them like them.

No name generic (who f'ing knows) must be a million of them in use.

Other brands (a lot) rated low, people seam to love them anyways.

I personally don't trust any body about much of anything. Certainly not somebody or a company with something to gain, or somebody parroting somebody else's findings posted on the net. Almost nothing by the US government.

Myself, unless I actually went there and actually saw that a company make something I would not be sure they did. I believe that all electronics sold in the US have to have some kind of verifiable safety certification. My batteries have them but I can't decipher them.

Food for thought.

Where is this proof that Sony rewraps other company's cells? The only other cell that can really compete with the vtc's is the Samsung 25r.. not even the same chemical make up.

The small purple and red efest cells suck...horrible voltage drop... all the large cells have been identified as sony vtc4- which they labeled properly (except Ah rating.. probably.

Samsung, sony, and pansonic I know make their own batteries-fact. Are they all IMR? No, but there are hybrids...

The samsung 25r has ICR in its labeling. Are they li-ion? I know they vent like 5 minutes before IMR cells- I've caused sparks to fly out of a vtc5 instantly with a piece of copper..I know they are hybrid cells, but I found it interesting.. haven't had time to replicate it under video.

Never claimed "to have proof" of anything. I thought I clearly stated where I got the information. Over the net, and some right here on this group. Just like I read your response right here on the net where you make some claims of fact and offer no proof.

In no way is anything I am posting attended as any sort of an attack on anybody or the theoretical manufacturers of products. I simply asked a question.

Though I did make a disparaging remark towards Sony which is solely based on my hands on personal experience from buying their crap along with friends and acquaintances who bought their poorly made crap. The battery in my Sony camera is marked Sony corp. and made in China. Who the hell knows.

Well, the sony vtc4's have said to have been pushed above and beyond. I have not seen proof of it, but Sony does have a pulse rating sheet for the vtc4.. The vtc5s get hot at 20Amps... I'm not using that near my face.. unless regulated, I suppose.:)

But yeah, only thing I'll own by Sony is vtc4 and ps3.. maybe 4.. but I mean if I don't have a ps3..then maybe I don't have any _____.

Someone put one in an IPV2 or similar mod, that displays static voltage and load voltage of battery...simple.. then we don't have to deal with PO's and stuff... and I'm expensive.. well, to have me deal with it -I get a 1/10 that pretty much. Family..but I got to take off today for music, and argue about batteries on the internet. :)

Love youuu

I just reread the first page of this thread and I'm not finding it. The reason I asked for evidence is because I could not find any posted here. Please post it again.

Also, I really don't like that I feel like I'm being looked down on for asking for proof. Would you rather have everyone meekly accept everything other people say without asking for any evidence to back up their claims?

Efest isn't the only company to sell those, they aren't uncommon. But that aside, lol
They're li-po charging bags. They're not li-mn charging bags. To use them correctly one must own a hobby charger. The charger isn't supposed to be placed in the bag with the cells. It can potentially over heat the charger and cause damage. Hobby chargers use a connecting cord to charge the batteries as opposed to docking the cells on the charger itself. Only the end of the cord connected to the batteries goes in the bag.

For example... here's one of the server power supplies i modified powering my lipo charger charging my 2s lipo packs at 25 amps. The end of the cord that's not in that picture had a couple batteries in a lipo sack.

It bothers me that efest would even put their names on these bags knowing what kind of chargers their batteries normally use and the fact they need to breathe for cooling.
