Hello, have been using ecigs for over a year now, but has been 6 months or so since my last real cig or dip. I used to smoke around 10-15 reg cigs per day and sometimes dip 3-4 times a week.
Here is my question:
When I used to get up in the morning and smoke my first reg cig, I would get the head rush and the chills - which was totally normal and totally reliable. I used to get this same feeling (but slightly different) if I chose to dip that morning instead of smoke. Clammy hands, head swimming, etc., pretty much the same feeling everyone reports from cigs.
Now that I ONLY vap (ABSOLUTELY NO CHEATING WITH REG CIGS OR DIP) for the last few months, I have begin to notice that the physical side effects of ecigs seem a little bit worse or unusual than traditional tobacco.
For instance, when I vape in the morning, I really don't feel much of anything in the way of a head rush like a normal cig. I am using 2.4 level juice (fairly high), sometimes dilluted with 1.2 (so probably 1.8 on average). I vape throughout the day in my office; no one cares. I never get clammy hands or that lightheaded feeling that I used to get from cigarettes. However, after a typical day of vaping, by night time I feel pretty spaced out...sometimes I get jumpy, nervous, and my heart beat feels wierd. I feel like a heaviness in my lungs, but rarely cough. It is wierd. I am using liquid from Good Prophets which I think is mainly VG.
Sometimes the twitchy moods become a little bit more odd...like if I am playing my guitar I am full of giddy nervous energy and it seems hard to play right or think 100% straight. Sometimes I get stupid song ideas stuck in my head and I can play with giddy sloppy intensity for quite a long time. But in general it is not a GOOD feeling, just a mildly unpleasant feeling. Sometimes it resolves in giddy unfocused thoughts and silly word associations. It is like a drug high only stupid feeling.
Some have suggested that maybe I am using too high a nic. concentration. How could I tell? Has anyone else felt this way?
Why doesn't vaping with the stronger nic levels make you feel like you smoked a cig? Isn't that the feeling that we are all after (sort of) anyway? The "first cig of the day" feeling? I have never gotten that from Ecigs, just spaced out and gittery. Thanks.
