Anyone know how to take apart an ego battery? I've got a stuck button (damn thing rolled off the desk, now the button is all wonky), and I want to strip it down & rebuild it. Anyone ever taken one apart?
Only posts I have seen are ones where they use pipe cutters and dremels. This is not condusive to putting it back together. Can't you use a jewelers screwdriver to free the button??? Just try to pry it back into place
Nah, the spring underneath seems to be off-kilter. Man, this sux... it was my passthrough
Well, I *do* need to place another HG order this coming weekend... but if anyone else happens along who's taken one of these apart, any advice would be adored. The main joint is probably epoxy'd in place, sigh.

I had the same question regarding a couple of 650mha's that quit
be very careful if you try a dremmel as the heat may battery to explode
I'm waiting till I try a new ego charger before I try scavaging for parts
Ah! Mine also just did a roll-off-the-table trick and now the spring is off kilt and doesn't function similar to the original posting. Just bumping this thread to see if any strides have been made in performing a quick fix for Ego Button off-kilt issue.
Did you have any luck with this? I have one where the switch doesn't push down to turn on. The LED blinks just fine when charging and being removed from the charger. Just doesn't work when I push the button
