I don't know if it was mentioned, but, have you contacted the vendor yet, OP?

I know you've had it for a month, or so. But, you would think that they would want to know if this is a problem with their stock. Also, I can't tell the authenticators between a pseudo twist and a genuine Joye. Can anyone tell which is which for those sold on Health Cabin?

Sure is, if you want to kill your battery.

I don't know about the twist, specifically, but, I've used 1.5ohm attys on my regular eGos with no issues. They all work just fine, even now.

Forgive me, but, this seems a little presumptuous coming from a member who just joined a month ago.

Oh gosh.

OK... Historically there were concerns on the eGo type units of over amping. Also, shorts in atty/cartos causing over-amping. Thus frying the MOSFETs. That doesn't seem to be the case here. However, if the voltage is too high and the ohms are too low it could cause the device to signal a short. However, per the OP, that's not the case. Also, newer eGo types seem to have this issue solved for 1.5 ohm stuffis at normal voltages.

Could u answer post #16's questions please? It's electronics related. So far, bullette and HawkeyeFLA
are on the right track to solve the problem. Short or over-amp?

That Vivi Nova (particularly the pre-2.5 versions) can push the center posts down. So can other atties/cartos.

or

Just tell us you're getting another device.

This thread is way OT, IMO.

OTOH... DIY your juice ;) :D Saves $$ so you can buy better mods :D

Don't think this has been brought up yet, but it might just be a dead battery instead of a malfunction. The Twist will flash 3 times when it runs out of juice. If you were shipped a bad battery it could have drained - or maybe it has not been charging.

Well, we thought 3 flashes = short, more flashes = needs charging. If that's not he case.....it gets more complicated. And needs more questions/answers.

Someone have specs on this... nm... I'll go look em up......just a second.......

Saw a post that said the 5-click protection does the 3-flash thing too.

Try pushing the button 5 times in a row fast. Does it work now? If not, try 5 times again. Still flashing 3 times?

Vaping a 1.8ohm carto on 3.6V produces 7.2W.
Anything below 8W is safe for sure.

Amperage is the key factor w/regard to protecting your equipment. I've heard from many sources that staying at or below 2.0 amps is OK. Anything over and you start to deteriorate your equip much faster. 1.8 ohms at 3.6 volts results in exactly 2.0 amps.

1) IMO an Ego Twist is a great battery, not a cheap piece of Chinese crap. Mine is solid, and I posted about the life people have on the twist forum and they get great life...

2) If you do the batteryuniversity quest, you should get 250+ charge cycles and that's at full drain each time, longer with better charge...

3) Check charger (is it overcharging? an Ego charger or other?), clean bat/posts, contact vendor. I'm normall not picky but I actually bought an Ego charger for mine as opposed to my older charging stuff--ensure it's not your charger causing trouble.

4) 3 flashes typically is a protection/short... I got this when I monkeyed with cleaning a Bottom Coil--when I put it back on it flashed 3 times and wouldn't fire--I thought I fried the battery.

Get vendor replacement and check charger compatability.

Ego twist (Joytech) flashed 20 times when the battery is drained, 3 times = short. If it's only a month old they should replace it. Most vendors have a 30 or 60 day warranty. I tried an LR atty and dripped a couple of times and the same thing happened to my brand new eGo. I forget where I got it, discount vapor most likely but they replaced it no questions asked. Never tried it again but the same atty works fine on my lavatube. Twists are great, I have several but they do have their limits. Hope you get a replacement from the vendor... GOOD LUCK!

Johnnymaestro, not sure why that post should be deleted just because it is not a direct answer to the question. There would be a lot of deleted posts if that rule applied. I'm guessing there was more to it than that but your stated reason to delete seems rather odd.
Ultimately it is the MODs decision. Questioning why will not get the post back and may end up having your posts scrutinized more closely. May be totally off base here but hey
