I don't know about the twist, specifically, but, I've used 1.5ohm attys on my regular eGos with no issues. They all work just fine, even now.

Forgive me, but, this seems a little presumptuous coming from a member who just joined a month ago.

As far as the TWIST specifically...I bought my genuine JT Twist earlier this year...and I use the Boge LR cartos exclusively...yes, the battery drains faster using a LR vs SR, but that can be said for every battery I own, from the kr808-d1 that I purchased almost a year ago, to the ProVari I purchased in may....this applies also to the "no-name" "ego-style" batts i bought in march to my new Twist...

If one follows the generally accepted maintenance on any battery, and don't pour juice into the electronics, and dont out it on the charger with te contacts covered in juice, everything should work perfectly...

I am sure that Levitas would agree with me that even a very experienced Vaper learns something new everyday about equipment, juices or supplies...And there are many variables when it comes to battery life...

"Generally" I personally run LR cartos (1.5 to 2.2) on my 3.7 devices and SR cartos (2.8-3.2) on my 5+ and VV devices...I could be wrong, but I understand that the VV devices are meant to use EITHER carto at whatever volts/amps the user chooses. I believe a greater danger to battery life is "deep cycling" a battery; draining a battery completely before recharging will shorten battery life much faster than any other action....but, that's just my opinion (also check the Battery university. Basic to Advanced Battery Information from Battery University )

Somewhere
I got it from Healthcabin and the vivi nova is v2.5 but I've been using mostly vision stardust.

Health Cabin has a 180 warranty. Go an open a ticket on their webisite. They are VERY quick to get things sorted out. Ie. excellent customer service. Or you can ask them here on the ECF on their forum, they are online now.

Maybe so, but I use a twist and researched it a LOT. I have a broken leg, so have the time.

I own an eGo, I use an eGo and don't want a dead eGo considering it will only last me a few months anyway. I charge mine alternatively 2 to 3 times a day. That only gives me a few months with only 250 charges, so I like to make sure I get the full life by not straining the battery.

OK. I've typed and canceled this post a couple of times.. but it keeps coming up and this thread is in "my posts" so I keep reading it so......

The "Don't use 1.5 ohm stuff on eGo type units" has historical basis. I don't think it's true any more. But it was common advice at one time. The MOSFETs and/or other circuitry on the PCB were frying due to either over amping and/or low resistance and then possible shorts or other such lowering the ohms even further (still over amping but diff cause). This is when the LR stuff was just becoming common.

Anyway, you can do a search and find lots of examples of eGo type units frying their circuits. It is totally not a battery issue. It's power dissipation in the PCB. Also flaky atties/cartos. And it was real. It happened. Not just a bunch of us claiming it's bad. All sorts of users...even those that didn't know a volt from an amp. So it's not presumptuous to mention it. It may be a bit out of date though.

Not an issue now as far as anyone knows. Not that I've heard lately. You'll also find a lot of posts about "I use ____ ohm stuff on mine all the time....". Well, that's true... NOW. But before, you were playing with the odds. And some people still did it without major issue. Was a crap shoot.

:2c: :)
