OK... So now the 2 I have that don't leak are working great! Seems like I just need to draw (hit) them harder than the 3.0-3.2 ohm cartos so it doesn't scorch the juice. They just run too hot on an ego. They work flawlessly when the battery begins to run low. I really do like them after the break in period is over. When they begin to run low on juice just like the ce2's I need to tilt the ego up while hitting in order to keep the wick wet or they run dry but, this is only when they are very low on juice. I hate the company that makes these. I am very biased and I still like this product. I will probably wait until the leaky window issue is fixed to order more. From the info I got there already is a v2 of these and that is what is being shipped but I really don't believe a word that this company ever says.

Really what it comes down to is: If the window doesn't leak you need to get past the break-in period and they are fine. The draw is a little restricted but that is easily fixed with a file or a small drill. So in conclusion I give these a 7/10 because of the leaky window. If that issue is fixed I would up it to a 9/10

I ordered one and it arrived today. I haven't tried it out, but I'm sitting here with eyebrow raised. It's in an anti-static bag. - Like a hard drive or RAM or other sensitive electronics.

Having never been compelled before to try a carto, I have to ask: Is this normal? I can't quite imagine what damage static could do (none, I'm thinking), so why would it be in anti-static packaging?

It really isn't an anti-static packaging. It's more of a seal so you know that your retailer didn't put their big fat lips on your Giantomizer after they ate an anchovy pizza.

Funny. Seems like the "pre-burning" may be what causes the break-in perios. Regardless, I hate the company and I still like this product. The mouthpiece looks like a giant nipple so I just cut it down. I will recommend that people who want to start vaping and quit smoking get a couple of these and ego batts for an easy fuss free solution. Most people I know that have tried e-cigs don't like it because there are too many variables and problems i.e. modding. I actually do see this as a one piece solution... As long as the make sure the windows don't leak. Good like on getting them to change anything though. Maybe badkolo can convince them they screwed up again and began shipping a faulty product.

DAMN YOU MARTINEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DAMN YOU TO CHINA!!!!!!

Chances are, it's not a leak the way you are used to perhaps. If you read my previous post I speculated that it was condensation running down between the plastic liner and the aluminum skin, and finally coming out where it only could, the window cut. After sealing around the plastic liner where it meets the aluminum sleeve on the inside top, all "leaking" is gone. Although now a rather large amount of condensation accumulates in the space above the inner silicone seal. Deja Vu? R&D in the form of end-user trial and error? As currently configured ALL the Giantomizers will "leak" or seep condensate from the window while being used or shortly thereafter. Mark my words, you are going to hear a lot of complaints in the form of leaky Giants in the coming weeks. I used food grade silicone to seal mine in case you want to try it.

Nice AR by the way.:thumb:

On further inspection the second one is leaking very slightly from the window...

I filled mine up last night and did the primer 20 no inhale puffs. - At first, it didn't seem to produce. So, I set it aside. This morning after the juice had all night to soak in, it produces a lot of vapor and it doesn't drop off when chainvaping a few drags in a row. - The flavor is a little off. It's hard to explain that, but the flavor is a little muted like the ego mega attys and tank attys are prone to be. With the megas and tanks, you can just blow them out to freshen things up. Since that won't really be possible for these, I'm not sure I'd consider buying any more.

The vapor is on the cool side like a tank atty produces (after the first drag, it warms up a little, but I'd compare it to an LR tank atty). That might also be a contributor to the flavor being a little muted. The vapor just has too far to travel to be delivered warm.

Also, the rubber tip produces a not-so-tasty effect. I don't care for that at all. You can taste the rubber.

They do indeed produce a lot of vapor. It's quite a cloud, really. So, I have hope that after a revision or two, these might turn out OK. But for now, I don't think I care much for these. I might try it on one of my mods later at higher volts. If that doesn't improve the flavor and warm up the vapor some, this will be in the next garbage can I pass.

The window leaks even when not in use and sitting for hours on the first one... The second one may just be condensation. I'll set it aside for awhile and see. Thanks I love that tack driver it's a mid-length rock river arms ar-15. My favorite rifle besides my winchester 700 in .30-06 That thing has a bit too much punch to fire for fun though. The AR-15 is a solid easy shooting fun weapon platform. Weapons aside...

I like the giants, great vapor, I think the taste is better than the clearos and ce2's 3 ml is about what I puff in a day and the 1100 mah ego's are great. I may even put my big batt mods away for awhile until I can put some cash together for a VV mod. Prolly the pro-vari. Where did you get the food grade silicone? I have every large craft and hardware store near me so should be easy to find no? I'm just sad that I have to help pay martinez's salary by buying them.

Seems to me like the vapor is hot coming from mine also I cut the nipple tip down so it is almost flush with the top as refilling is a once a day project. I don't taste the rubber just press it up to my lips. Aside from that try washing the tips. I washed the whole unit with rubbing alcohol and hot water before I used them anyway just in case there was something gross on them from manufacturing then sat them in front of a fan in the sun by a window for an hour or two before filling. Well... the first one I filled right away and lucky that was the leaky one!

Mine Arrived yesterday. Once again it feels like a struggle to get consistant vape.
It really struggles to wick, giving me a really nasty taste. It looks like I have so far only managed to vape 1ml, so I hope that I am still in breaking in phase. But it is a nasty phase to have to go through to reach nirvana.
I didn't wash it out before filling it for the 1st time. So I keep thinking it is probably primer that I am tasting? Just not sure, but it isn't nice.
Then every once in a while I feel the draw has more resistance and then I get a lovely tasting plume of vape. I just wish it would continue.
As soon as it tastes nasty I am back to dripping my LR 510.

I find by taking the plug out and plugging in sometime gets the flavor back for a puff or two.
I have tried the flicking technique to force the juice up to the atty. But it doesn't seem to make much difference.
A couple of drops directly dropped onto the atty tastes great for a few puffs then I guess it is dry again.

Grrrrrrr.

Follow up.
I could not stand the taste of Giantomizer #1 so tonight I moved onto #2.
This time taking prepping steps prior to vaping.

I started by filling it with 1ml of 100% PG. Added two drops onto the atty coil.
Put the mouthpiece on and gave it a good shake.
I then took 20 puffs without inhaling.
Shaking it around occasionally.
None of the primer puffs tasted bad like #1.
Next I added my juice.
Two drops on the coil.
'Almost' right out the box, this thing is now performing really well. Loads of tasty vapor.

But annoyingly liquid is appearing on the window.

#2 Giantomizer is definitely more of what I was expecting.
But I fear it maybe short lived. We'll see.

I filled all three of the giants I have last night. Sat them upright on my desk. All of them had a small puddle of juice under them... About a 1/4 ml each over 6 hours, so it's a slow leak but, still. I carry it in my pocket and I don't want wet spots on my pants nor do I want to waste juice. Leaking from the window. Again, I say DAMN YOU MARTINEZ, DAMN YOU TO CHINA!

They work well, but, they leak. If they sort the leaking window out these will be great. Just clean them and give them a break in period then seal them I guess.

I am also having the leaky window issue, and I hate the tip on them..The tip taste and smells horrible IMO...DH said he is going to seal the inner tube for me when I finish with this fill and I have ordered a metal ego cylinder drip tip to see if it will fit and hold in better, I will plug the fill hole with a cut carto plug....I should know in a day or two how all this modding will help it .....or not

I know what you mean about the AR's, I have a couple. Both Bushmaster, one is a stainless 22" bull barrel for sharpshooting other is a fully dressed shorty with Timney trigger, Magpul stock, grip and mags, Daniel Defense Omega quad rail, Eotech sight, few other goodies. Don't even get me started on the Remington R5.

What I noticed is that even with condensation is that they will weep for a long time after use due to so much juice trapped between plastic and outer skin. I had to blow out all the liquid trapped between inner and outer tank, then seal. What I'm trying for the other ones is simpler. I cut a piece of silicone tubing (fish tank airline etc...) that fits under the mouthpiece around the air-hole and seats to the inner silicone seal when you put the mouthpiece back on. This eliminates condensation so far. I will take a picture of it later and post it.
The window leaks even when not in use and sitting for hours on the first one... The second one may just be condensation. I'll set it aside for awhile and see. Here is the idea to eliminate leakage.
IMG_0105.jpg

You want it to be slightly longer than the Giantomizer tip so it contacts the inner silicone seal when assembled. Now you basically have a small tube that goes right from the heating coil to the mouthpiece greatly reducing condensation.

Mine are still working fine although still oozing from the window... Also I labeled my bolt action wrong earlier it's a winchester 770 (not 700). Basically a win 70 economy edition. They only made it for a few years. Great shoulder cannon though. I love magpul! Since that picture I got a magpul stock and I'm looking for a quad rail platform but I don't really want to spend $3-400 for a knights arm. Trying to find a more cost effective alternative as this rifle will never see combat. I'm a chef, not a soldier :) My friend just got a magpul iPhone case...

Again weapons aside. I would rather use giants or ce2's than drip on an atty any day. Driving and dripping is as bad as texting for one thing. Haven't had time to go on the hunt for silicone. Is the stuff clear? Can you still see through the window? Anywho, off to work for me! First day at the new job!

Look at yankee hill machine tool for a good quad forend at a smaller price. They are as good as anyones. Cheaper Than Dirt has a few choices Cheaper Than Dirt - America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter Use the drop down box for Yankee Hill.
Look up the Remington R5, that is my "reach out and touch someone" choice in .308. Winchester is nice stuff, especially a 70.

The silicone I used is clear, but does not go anywhere near the window. It is used to seal the top lip inside the Giantomizer. If you look down inside the Giantomizer after removing the inner silicone seal, you can see the plastic liner. You seal the lip of that plastic liner. The tubing idea is working great though, look at my pics. Simple, tubing can be had at any pet store or Walmart, and it has stopped all my leaking.
