High mAh batteries and large capacity cartomizers are nice, but what is most important to me are taste and watts.

Someone in this long thread said that the taste of Echo cartos reminded him of the 801 and Leo.:hubba: That got my heart fluttering. Do others confirm?

I've read here that the Echo battery is true 3.7V, i.e., 4.2V fresh off the charger, gradually dropping down to 3.3V before demanding recharge. Correct?

But voltage is only half of the watts equation. What about the resistance (ohms) of the Echo cartomizer? I've seen no mention of that. My only disappointment with the Leo is with that watts: I often wish it hit harder ... and, since there is no adapter for the Leo atty or carto, I can't use it on a higher voltage battery.

Thanks!

It is supposed to be 4.2 volts off the charger but my 1300 Echo is automatic and I can't check the voltage. The 650's come in auto or manual but I don't have one. My ohm meter isn't working accurately so I can't give you the ohms but I'm sure they are similar to the Go-Go cartos.. All I can go by is the taste and vapor and it works very good for me. The auto battery is awesome and delivers a very good draw and it produces good vapor with a small puff or you can hit it with as long a drag as you want with no cuttoff. I was a 801 user for a long time and it is similar in taste for me but much more vapor. I'm a big Go-Go fan and like them a lot but I enjoy vaping the Echo better because of the automatic battery. Only time will tell if it is as consistent and lasts as long as the Go-Go but with my limited time of using it I give it a big thumbs up!:2cool:

Not sure if there are different resistences out there... Can anyone verify this?

Just a little tip ,tip for the echo's.If you are useing the rubber tip push it into the caro past the step. You will never lose another tip.I lost four of them before i figured that out.So far they still will not sell me just the tip , But i'm not giving up.I think i'm wearing them down,or perhaps the will sell them to me just to shut me up.When they do become available i will let you all know.

The 801 drip tip fits and works great with the Echo. It will never come out either in fact it is a little difficult to pull out.

Some people who have reported a lack of vapor and taste have pushed the filler down closer to the bottom where the coil is and solved the problem. It does appeat that some of the more recent cartos do not have the filler inserted all the way into the carto body. Once the filler made contact with the coil, the carto worked fine.

I've tried everything... pushing the filler down, pulling it up, fluffing it, etc. All I get are giant plumes of burnt smelling/tasting vapor. TONS of vapor! Juice is hitting the coil to make the vapor but it's horrible smelling and tasting.

I've learned that when filling a new carto to not suck it into my lungs but rather just force it out my nose to see if i detect the burnt vapor. If that crap goes into your lungs it causes a major head rush which is scary and a horrible feeling.

I've ordered from both places and it's hit or miss. This is making me really frustrated because I'm wasting $3 a carto and 3mls of juice with every new one. There has to be either something I'm doing wrong or these cartos are flawed.

Is it the Go-Go carto you are having problems with? That is strange I haven't ever had a problem with any of mine.

No, it's the iGo. Sorry I wasn't more specific.

I just tried removing the filler, cleaning, dry burning and refilling. I'll let it sit for 30 minutes and see if it worked. While I was at it i trimmed about 1/4 of an inch of filler material off. I won't care if it only hold 2ml of juice now if it only works. *fingers crossed*

be sure to let it dry out before filling

I blow dried all the parts with a hair dryer before I put it back together.

As to the straw tip... I had a large package of straws that i bought at the Dollar Store. I never used them because they were so much smaller than regular straws and felt funny. They worked perfectly! It does pay to never throw stuff away... they've been in a kitchen cabinet for years. LOL

This does look like a good price but be aware that their title is a bit misleading...

"3ml Echo eGo 2.0ohm Cartomizers"

Note that it says eGo. Then below it says...

"This Cartomizer is a KR808D-1 and 901 threading and is not compatible with 510 Riva's, T-Rex or 510 eGo type e cigs"

Probably just a typo but someone could easily order the wrong carto here.

Okay. I've owned the Echo 1300 since Friday afternoon. So far I really like it. It's the most cigarette like experience I've had in the 2 plus years that I've been using e cigs. The automatic battery is what gives it , it's cig like attributes. In my opinion it draws just like a cigarette. It's really good. I've even managed to become very comfortable holding it like a cigar. But the vape is what it's all about. Well at least for me, using 16-18mg ejuice it taste warm like a regular cigarette. It doesn't change the taste of my ejuice, TH and lung hit is there just like my favorite cig used to feel like. So, what else could I ask for? Started out vaping two years ago with the crappy ecigs that were available at the time, eventually found the 510 and the dripping thing but found the whole ritual much too cumbersome.
So I went back to analogues. But since this New Year I found and started using the Ego tank, then went to the Gogo, ( which I also like too but I like the way my juice taste with the Echo more), found the Echo and here I am. Been analogue free since This New Year after 45 plus years of a pack per day smoking habit. I feel alot better and don't cough as much. So I hope it's not too little too late for my lungs. I'll keep using the Echo for now and see what else comes down the pike. So for me, the Echo works well enough and satisfies so that I am not even tempted to " go back".

Congratulations Dagwood on having the determination to get back off cigarettes. I've had a 55 year struggle with them myself so I know how easy it is to pick them up again. Hopefully with these new PVs working so good you won't ever go back. I've been quit for 17 months and now can say I will never go back to smoking as long as I'm able to have a PV.
I too like the Go-Go a lot and until I tried the Echo, out of curiosity, I didn't think there were any PVs that could match it. I also think there is a little more flavor with the Echo but the auto battery really completes the deal for me. I think the Go-Go battery holds a charge a little longer but I'm gettin 17-18 hours with the Echo and that is good to get me through a day. If it stays as good and consistent as the Go-Go has I will be a happy camper.
