I ordered 2 echo kits from DPUT. since it was cheaper to send them in 2 separate packages, he did so. i recieved my first unit but the second one has yet to arrive (been almost a week and a half). i have been communicating with him through PM and he sent another echo today which i should get on thursday or friday. this is what floors me....he told me that if i ever get the missing unit (which is floating somewhere in between SC and MN) i can keep it, without having to send it back. i would have no problem sending it back if i ever got it. stand up guy, honestly...talk about bending backwords for his customers!! i will be dead honest whether i get the missing unit or not.

That is good to hear. All these new guys just getting started seem to be real good guys and want to get started on the right foot with their customers. I've talked to Tony at Cropdusters a few times and he is always there to answer any questions. He has been in business for a while but still isn't ever too busy to talk on the phone when you call. That might change as they get bigger but I think that is understandable.

i this these cartos blow the ce2's out of the water. no fiddling, no burning, no leaking...no cracking....just fill and go.

i wonder what ohms the stock echo carto is. in the link to the little cheaper priced cartos, they are 2.0 which would be LR.
the echo i puffed on does not need any lower ohm cartos.

I measured one at 2.9 and a second at 3.1 so average of about 3 (reg echo on provari)

He doesn't carry the Echo-e yet. I ordered some from there a few days ago and they should be here tomorrow.

The kits are much more expensive though.

Yeah, had to back out of my shopping cart.

If anyone knows where a Canadian can get an echo-e carto for less than $4.95 please let me know

I have been using my new Echo kit since yesterday morning, these cartos are nuts! However, I have noticed a small problem.

I noticed the connection on one of my batteries is deeper then the other and this particular battery hasn't been lighting up in the charger (even when you unplug it, never got the blinks). The PV worked just fine with the carto.

So when I was looking at both of the batteries, the difference is ever so slight but I compared it to some .7mm pencil lead I had laying around, that's how small the difference is.

Ever so gently I was able to talk the connection into coming up a bit more (with the help of a paper clip) and it complied and is now charging.

Anyone else experience anything like this? The connections feel a bit flimsy, so I wonder if this will be a common problem with them? Given how small the difference was, I am kind of worried now. I have been analog free for 36 hours so..... lol

You are the first to report that problem with the echo. It was fairly common with the Go-Go and iGo but I was hoping it wouldn't occur with the Echo. They all have the same type of floating connection though so I guess it is logical that it might happen. It isn't a problem for the experienced vapor but it really throws some new vapers for a loop. Good job on detecting it and finding the fix without knowing about it. Keep us posted if it continues or not.

I think there will be little issues that will be worked out in the future and as seen here all sellers are standing behind these , so issues should be resolved by sellers fairly quick. and customer service should be good to say the least.I personally like the echo-e more for the durability, the connection is like ego battery's so the cart goes down over the cone threading making them a little more stout, so to speak . I remember when the ego cartomizers came out and i had a couple of issues with them. i had a couple come apart on me (the plastic came away from the connector) i don't see this as being a problem as these are made of metal and are more durable .

OK, I just got my Echo with the native 901 connection on my first fill measured with a syringe I got just about 3.25ml's into this carto, I set it down for 5 min and a couple of drops came out the bottom, I wiped it up and the bottom of the carto off and put it on the batt . I started vaping and to my surprise this is a really nice set up, I have one issue which I fixed right away and that was the draw. There are 4 slots on these carto's to allow the unit to breath which creates an airy draw, I suggest on the next batch they experiment a little and maybe go with only 1 slot, simple fix though I just took a piece of Black electrical tape and wrapped it around where the slots are, I wrapped it around 3/4 of the way to cover 3 of the 4 slots and bam perfect draw for me so there is your adjustable draw on your Echo, you can leave as is or cover 1-2-3 or even all 4 if you don't wrap it to tightly when doing all 4 , I like to feel a draw when I take a pull and this corrected it, it could be good for some the way it is but I needed more pull or draw on mine which also makes for more vapor with a bit stiffer draw for me.

Batt performance = total thumbs up on this unit so far, vaping for an hour now with it, these new Auto Batts are a kick ... auto batt that performs unlike some that I have used in the past. These Batts turn on the split second you take a pull and shut off when you stop. They don't turn on with noise or anything so far that I have seen other then when using them like they are to be used.

Carto = These Echo carto's are an excellent design, they hold right around 3ml's of liquid + - .2 and fill very easy, I like to use the syringe to get the liquid to the bottom quickly and it works well however I am going to put one of my 801 drip tips on top so I can easily top off during the day since I vape like a locomotive and will go through more than 3ml's in a day plus it will help with flavor being fresh. Be careful though with the auto batts, it may be best to pull off the carto drip in it and make sure you don't let it run into the batt it is a concern I have and I have been thinking about the old scotch tape trick we use to do with using Auto batts a year or two back, that was putting a very small piece over the center and taking a pin and making a very small hole and it would help from liquid running into the hole and let it go to the sides, we'll see about that, just pull the carto off if your gonna fill would be my suggestion it the safest way, I like to tinker:2cool:.

Flavor = let's talk about flavor, theres not much to say other than it's there, I don't get the same flavor I do if I where dripping on an Atty but no carto gives you that with filler or pretty much any Carto, However this carto gives off as much flavor as any I have ever used with filler and you couldn't ask for anything more with this design, it kicks it out plumes of great vapor with lots of great flavor:vapor::vapor::vapor:.!!!

Not much more to really review here with the Echo that I see, the batteries I got where the 1300mAh and I haven't used it long enough to see if the mAh rating is true or not but I would think it would be close, the battery measures approx 3-5/8 inches + - pretty much the same as a 1000mAh 510 Ego to the top of it's threads, Echo may be an 1/8'' bigger and maybe a tad bigger in it's radius than Ego not sure. I cant say much more about these Batts then I already have, they perform, so do the cartos, this unit gets a total thumbs up from me and so far. I can say it is a no muss no fuss vaping unit that many are going to fully enjoy, there isn't anything I would change about this Echo other than the 4 slots to maybe one or two to stiffen it up a bit and maybe offer it in some other colors, the chicks enjoy there hot pinks and some other colors but all in all this Echo is a winner so far for me. !!!! Nice Job to whomever thought up the Echo !

Just curious... can you use 808 carto's on the 901 ECHO without an adapter. My Riva 901 has vertical slits/slats (don't know what they're called) for airflow, so my 808 cartos work well.
Thanks :)
Yes - I have some Bloog 808 cartos that work just fine with my 650 Echo battery with no adapter.

Good review MWA I'm glad you like it too. I personally like the draw without covering the air holes but everone is different and it depends on what you've been using. The Go-Go has a airy draw also even a little more so than the Echo. I didn't care for it at first and my first comment on the Go-Go was the draw was to airy but I got use to the Go-Go draw after a day or so and now I prefer the easier draw. Several Go-Go users did the same thing you did taped a couple of holes but most eventually took the tape off after they got use to it.
The auto battery is great I like it better everyday. I'm a pretty heavy vaper myself and I've been getting 12 hours on a carto but I vape most of the juice out and don't top it off at all.
