Hey Bill, how did your cleaning and re-installation work out? I'm curious if some of these cartomizers that are packed too tightly can be thinned out a bit.

I need to get a small straw to fit over the center tube. The ones I have are the same size.
I don't think it will be a problem to remove, clean and reinstall.

On another note I just sent a email to HK HANGSEN, the mfg of the echos to get prices on 10 1300 kits and 30 extra cartomizers. This will be interesting.

DAMN! I just saw that the echo cartomizers are selling for $5.00, WOW! IGO's sell for $3.00
The wholesale price is the same for both. $1,25 empty. Now that is a markup.

The shipping costs and hassle of paying and ordering from the wholesellers isn't worth it for me. If they last for 100 refills you don't need many anyways. Four would last a year if the claims are true.

I checked on it a couple of weeks ago and it was around 300.00 for ten. The shipping and the banking transfer is what turned me off. Then you will have another 8.00 bucks for individual box and shipment to individuals. So you are talking close to 40.00 and you can buy them from a retailer for 50.00 with with some guarantee that if they don't work you can deal with them instead of China. If these were selling for 70.00 or more it might be worth it but for 50.00 dollars I will stick with a U.S supplier.

The response I just received states 1 kit plus 3 extra cartomizers and shipping would cost $34.50 each. BUT there may be a pay pal surcharge, i have not gotten the proforma invoice yet. A savings of $30.50 less the shipping to your house. Flat rate $6.00. but you have to pay shipping from the retailer also so the savings would be $30.00

I am not trying to start anything here and of course people have the right to do business however and with whoever they want. However, if you buy from a U.S. retailer you are helping an American citizen in bad economic times. That retailer may also be employing other people and so they have created jobs. The same would be true if you live in Europe and deal locally. It is a shame that we don't make these devices here in the U.S. Anyway, I just wanted to throw that out there. At the same time I am all for people saving money because, again, these are rough times for a lot of people.

Hey, Bill, Just do what I did. Take the empty carto to the bar with you and ask the bartender to give you one of his cocktail straws. I did extensive research on this one night and found out that there are three different types of cocktail straws each with a different inside diameter. The red one worked fine for the gogo. I had one gocart that had the tip of the center tube flared slightly from inserting the q-tip for refill many times and the straw didn't fit so I pinched the top of the center tube slightly with a pair of needle nose and the straw slipped on perfectly. After re-inserting the filler it was an easy process to open the center tube again.
As a side note, upon completing my exhausting study on the cocktail straws I had to take a taxi home from my last research site.

You also have to take into account that most U.S. retailers have a tobacco resale license at this point.It is becoming a have to have . And pricing on these items reflects what sellers have to deal with. your shipment can get confiscated by customs . it can also get held by FDA for months on end and the seller has to deal with the fees associated with all this in the first place. This is just like any resale you would find at say walmart and so on a t.v. you would pay 500 dollars for cost them about 280 dollars it is just how resale works . when you add it all up resalers of e cigs arent getting rich. if you could put it into a wage it would add up to about 10 to 12 dollars and hour, and that is if you can sell 100 kits a month along with about 400 cartomizer's . You have to maintain a web site pay monthly for things like secure checkout. and weather you the customer pay tax on an item or not the seller of these will have to pay tax on everything sold. not to mention sellers who sell through paypal. they pay a fee on everything sold, and if you get a customer that slips up and mentions e cig paypal puts a freeze on your account. And we also have to figure the best quantitie's to get shipped from china . you will find out just getting 10 kits shipped will cost you 16 dollars in paypal fees and another 105 dollars for EMS shipping, and that will take a minimum of ten working days to receive , if you want it faster then it goes up. So when you look at this in reality a small supplier pays more for these than a bigger supplier than say cigeasy they make orders for a minimum of say 500 kits there price goes down to say 18.00 a kit and there price goes down to say 40 cents a cartomizer. but a little guy ordering 100 kits has about 32.00 each into it. and if he is lucky maybe can sell 5 to 8 kits a day so maybe he can make about 90 to 120 a day he still has to pay tax's on top of that. Most of these sellers aren't getting rich!!!! most still work a full time job on top of this.

Anyone who thinks this is easy try sitting around for four months while the FDA decides if they are going to release your 1500 dollar shipment or not then consult an attorney and try to fill out all the FDA paperwork and cross your fingers , pray and hope that it gets released.

uh yes, I have owned 2 jewelry stores and 2 gun shops before retiring to the good life. I know all about retail.

I also know all about "jumping on the wagon" while the item is hot amd make a fast killing.

Periodically, someone gets a hair and figures it's a good idea to import some kits from China and cut out the middleman. 99.9% of the time they give up after running the numbers and facing the variables of the actual purchase. If it was a simple thing, everyone would be doing it. Those that actually do make the chinese group buy only do it once and retire as the hassle is not worth the return.

I used to deal in imported de-milled firearms using Form-6 and that made e-cig importation seem like a cakewalk as BATFE was involved. IMO, the vendors who take the time to position themselves for reasonable, trouble free importation have spent months or even years getting in that position and frankly, deserve every dime they get. That's just my opinion.

There was a guy named Jpaul who posted here for a while recently who bought 10 gogo kits from alibaba and got delivery real quick and dirt cheap. You might want to PM him and pick his brains if you really want to go through with this.
