eGo mega atty leaking

I don't know if I filled it up too much or what, but the eGo mega atty that I just got is leaking liquid around the silver band where you press the manual button. I filled it up like I do normal ones, and it was leaking pretty badly until a decent bit of the liquid came out. Got a lot of liquid in my mouth at first.

I usually fill them up until the fluval is almost full and try to dab it off with a paper towel on the top. I'm using 20%VG/80%VG if that makes a difference. I thought that normally you were supposed to about fill them, as I used to. However, I had major leakage from that area at first, and now it's still leaking, but not as much.

I notice that when I take the atty off, there is liquid in the bottom part of it where it connects to the battery. That seems to be mostly where the problem is. Is there anything that I can do about that?

Really getting tired of getting juice all over my hands and in my mouth, I'm not sure how much longer I can do this. I love the idea of the mega atty but this is driving me crazy.

Try using a tighter fluval pack... if the fluval (especially white fluval) isn't compressed and stuffed in there nicely, it will leak all over.

Whole cart.. plug mods do not work on eGoMega cartridges...

Thanks, as I mentioned before I used a really thick blue foam which is usable (but not seeing/tasting what I've heard from others), once I get some more juice I'll try something else (only have a days supply left, don't want to risk it, heh).

That's what I just started thinking, that it was because it wasn't packed tight enough. Not sure how tight is tight enough or not tight enough, but I will figure it out. It's not really tight at all right now, and it is the white fluval.

Thanks for your reply! I'm starting to feel a little sick because of all of the stuff I've gotten my my mouth (though I spit it out) and on my hands. I really hope that it doesn't leak at all once I get it packed correctly, since all that leaking is a nightmare!

Start with a piece the proper depth and 1.5 times the size of the cart... trim of the wicking is slow... but trim very very lightly.

I'm glad to see this post. I ordered a mega atty/cart a couple of weeks ago and it has pee'd all over me every time I try to use it. I knew they had a leaking issue, but not to this degree. After reading this thread, I grabbed my filler and stuffed it tight and full and filled it with my 70/30 PG/VG. So far no leakage but I notice after about 10 puffs, it's feeling just a tad dry. I guess I just need to trim a little at a time until I find that happy medium. I've been using mega cartos and although I love the taste, vapor production and lengthy time between refills, I've found that they are such juice hogs and of course as we all know, a mega carto can go bad without any warning. I'm going to keep playing with my mega atty/cart and see what happens. It's kinda fun to be fiddling with something again. Isn't it amazing how vapers, for the most part, don't mind keeping their hands busy.

I've been using BFM on the Ego Mega and the 'other' mega attys without a problem. It did take some experimenting to get the right size and pack, but I'm using that full time for the last 3 weeks.

If you search for mega atty or look in the BFM group I think you'll be able to find the thread... I'm sure if it's not back yet, it soon will be.
