Yes, you're right, Wizard, the standard eGo charger is rated 420 mA, while the universal charger is rated 300 mA. I had it exactly backwards. I too wasn't sure if the "head" circuit had a provision for charging, so I tried it (using a sacrificial old eGo charger), and YES it does charge through the "head" on an eGo charger. I didn't pull out the meter, but when I put the battery in the universal charger, the light stays solid green. Probably a good enough test. Great. It's more convenient and actually charges faster.

As far as running a 1.7 Ohm dual coil, mine sure runs fine (he says blowing bhopalesque clouds of vapor).

Glad it worked for you - it was Brent from Hoosier e-cig supply who pointed out that little factoid when I tried to tell him in an email the eGo charger would be slower :)

I was kinda happy to be wrong on that one.

My latest batch from madvapes are terrible. Out of 10 only 2 could be used because the others had a nasty taste that burnt my throat. The 2 that didn't have the chemical taste in them only lasted 2 days before the draw on them got too tough. Very very upset I just threw money in the trash with them.

Are you sure you are putting in enough juice? Is is VG or PG juice? I ask because I got that taste on my latest EMDCC at first, then remembered I switched to VG. Let it sit a while longer to wick and the bad taste went away. It definately doesn't wick the VG as well, going to try a 1/2 and 1/2 mix on my next juice order and hope it improves. Anyone else have wicking issues? What is the max ratio of VG I can get away with? Too much PG doesn't agree with me...

I don't vape PG at all. You can thin the VG with distilled water (DW), PGA or vodka - even a 10% cut won't affect your flavor much at all and will improve wicking.

I've been doing the same and trying to convince a few folks that are trying to get their Bobas to wick better to thin the darn stuff out but they think it's going to ruin the flavor too much. With the BB a little DW does nothing to the flavor and sure helps the wicking in the various cartos and tanks.

Tell 'em if they cut it 10% that's just like getting 10% free :D

Heck, if they even cut a 3ml test batch and didn't like it they wouldn't lose much.

It is 70VG/PG30

I took apart one of the bad tasting ones and the diaper was burnt through. I put so much juice in it it was pouring out the bottom and let it sit overnight. I am done with poly fill going to get some CE-2's since the only problem I had with them was filling them.

I have one, the XL1 chrome model.

Go-goUSA.com | Go-goUSA.com

They are regulated, 3.3X volts. They have a safety cutoff after being on for something like 12 seconds. They have the 5 click on 5 click off feature, like the Joye eGo-T batteries. It takes an 18650 battery, but the diameter cannot exceed 18 mm, and some do. It's a nice unit, especially handy for big cartos like the EMDCC. There's a top threaded cap that rises up to meet a carto's eGo style "skirt", for a very finished look. Then the sealed head with the button and internal electronics. There's a removable extension/adapter on mine, that ends in an eGo type 510 female. Then a closed tube with a small vent-hole at the bottom and a spring inside for the battery. The metal is strong, it's not paper-thin. No idea about the black one, the construction looks very different.

A big advantage is that an 18650 battery has so much umph that you can use any 18650 battery without worrying about high-drain. They will support a 2.0 or 1.5 Ohm burner, no problem, unlike some we know ;-). The regulator/switch works OK with such a load (so far). I mostly use it with an EMDCC (I wish it came in chrome) or a chrome Echo-E. With a Boge 2.0 on it it looks like a candle. It's a formidable weapon.

That looks like a 510-n. If it is you could use a 510-901 adapter and use crome echo cartos on it. (fits a bit more juice than the echo-e). I'm still debating whether to buy one or not.

Well, I just got an email from the folks at Vaping Zone. Apparently they know I'm a HUGE fan of the EMDCCs they sell. With the last batch being a little "shady" in terms of performance, they are sending me a brand new pack (5) of their latest shipment to try out, and report back. I must say, the folks at Vaping Zone really do seem to want to make this right! Great folks there, I must say!! I sure do hope they have the issues cleared up now with whomever is making the products! I know they're as concerned (if not more so) than we are about it!!

I'll be sure to let everyone here know what I find out as well!

Yes. The kit came with not fantastic "forged" BRC 18650 batteries, they're more like 1000 mAh in performance. I use them anyway, until I can find some that are a real 2000 mAh and not over 18mm diameter. He had no idea and he's working on it (he's a really good guy), but just don't expect 3000 mAh.

My last two emdcc's ended up lasting about dozen puffs at night and then were pathetic in the morning. Sigh. Time to try something else. So that ePower looks neat, so does the Fluxomizer. Hmm...

The third and fourth EMDCC that I have from Vaping Zone are hitting like they should! Maybe it was just the first two that were bad. Don't give up on the EMDCC just yet.
