ok so here's the thought...

let my buddy try my dr Pepper flavored cartomizer good e juice i know... and he liked it...

he's a way heavier smoker than i was and will need something that will longer than my 808... I was thinking maybe an ego-k (the lazer etched ones are hella cool lookin) and a clearomizer tank thinger... still new to this but plotting to show him or buy him something to get him hooked... i think if we get him something sweetlooking that works well he's doomed to be healthier he does like to my 808 at work when he comes to my office ... so the transition has started...

other thoughts would i just need the clearomizers and batt and chargers or is that one of the ones that is more than a 2 piece ... he is more likely to mod something than i am

Thought I'd ask you guys

ANY help Appreciated

1000 mah ego twist may be good for somebody just starting out. Would make a great starting device I think. Trying to figure out what the easiest atty device would be to start with, probably a stardust or something similar where all you do is take off the mouthpiece and fill it up. If the person isn't 100% into wanting to use vaping to quit, they may think it too complicated with some other devices. Definitely use the KISS principle when helping out your buddy. Also, I always give this advice. Get a lamp timer for the wall charger. Very cheap, and will keep you from overcharging the batteries. MORE than worth the $5 - $10 it costs for the timer, considering the risks.

WOWSER out of the closet and you're dangerous...but that's a good thing
If he's a heavy smoker I would also suggest a VV like the Twist BUT realize they are quite long- something he make not feel comfortable with
650 mah= Length 97mm(3.75")/Diameter 14mm
900 mah= Length 111mm/Diameter 14mm
There's a Tube Mod for a great price:
Apollo VTube Kit
With discount $53 and up depending on finish
Promotion: You can use code 'vtube30' to get 30% discount while our vtube stock lasts.
30 day money back guarantee and a 1 yr warranty.
The trouble is, when buying for others, is the size of the PV.
Best of Luck.

Yep... the biggest issue is whether or not he'll deal with something bigger. That's a personal choice. I would never have started without my Volt 78mm batteries. Now I use the Smokeless Image X2s (which are ego sized but 3.7 volt not 3.3). I use 650mah batteries cause I didn't like the length of the longer ones.... I'd rather carry 2 650s than one 1300, but that's just me. Now I have a rebuildable atomizer mod, but week one, you wouldn't have got me off cigs with anything bigger than a 78mm Kr808.

Why not both? Smokeless image sells the 808 kit. The 78 mm battery last 3 to 4 hours. The standard two battery starter kit is $45 and there is a 15% off coupon. They also sell an ego style battery in three sizes, 650mah, 900mah and 1300mah. They use 808 threaded juice systems and ego threaded juice systems. The 650mah is $20 and there is a 15% off coupon. Add in a pack of CE3 clearos for $10 and you have a great kit that gives the best of both worlds for under $65.

This way when he wants to use something that looks like a cigarette he can but also has a larger battery for times when size isn't as important. Both the mini and the X2 are 3.7v, which is more voltage than an ego.

Here is a video that discusses this exact problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0eLM1pObZk

Oh, and the X2 is a pass through device as well

All 808 carto and clearos will work on the smokeless image X2. The x2 will also use ego specific juice devices like the vision ego stardust, the Kanger T2, the 3ml bottom coil Phoenix.

It just doesn't use 510 specific cartos without an adapter. To me, it's a perfect setup for a new vaper. The ability to use a mini ecig with good voltage and a decent battery life, but also an ego style battery for when you don't care about something the size of an analog. When I'm out of the house, I use my mini, but at home, I use my X2

The Smokeless Image XL cartos work on the KR808D batteries, and on their longer X2 batteries (the ones that look like egos). Basically the X2 is a higher voltage ego with 808 threads.

But it also has ego threads.

Basically the x2 is the same as a kgo, excewitty has 808 and ego threads instead of the 510 and ego threads that are on the kgo

510 thread offers the most options, but lots of people like the KR808 device. The Volt is another 808 offshoot that is gaining in popularity.

Personally, I'd stick with the eGo for compatibility, especially with upgrade paths. Atomizers and cartomizers are things that you have to buy over and over, but the battery options rule. The Twist is a good starter for the 510 family. There's also the $12 Smoktech DCT carto tank to consider. Lots of people like the Stardust, also.

A lot depends on whether he likes the feel of a slimline ecig or whether he wouldn't mind the addition of things like tanks and cartomizers and clearomizers. Sometimes, when people first start to vape, they think they need a slim ecig that doesn't make people ask, "What the heck is that contraption?". Once they become comfortable with the technology and understand it, you can't shut them up when you ask a simple question like that! We go into sales mode and tell smokers how great it is to not have to pay $5 a day for a pack of smokes.

Boge, Kanger, and Smoktech cartomizers are widespread in usage around here. So are the various tanks that feed juice using a carto. The clearomizers in various forms are popular as well. As time passes, more options become available.

When you choose a battery, use the 100mah rule that says 100mah= about one hour of vaping per charge. 1000mah will get you through a work day if you don't use really low resistance coils or dual coil cartos. One of the most frustrating aspects of beginning to vape is being tied to a charger.

I totally agree with Mr Outlaw. He never steers u wrong. I started with SI Pro kit in the 78. # weeks ago when I quite I would not have liked the x2. I wanted or thougt I wanted a cig lookalike. The have their place. When I am out shopping or busy with errands I use the 78. I have 4 batteries in them. I just got my x2 650omhs today and love it for home. Don't have to charge so often. The SI Volt is wonderful. Please give them a look. Make sure to use 24mg for your friend to start with. I stopped using the carts . Once you use the ce3's you will never go back. No nasty taste and the vape is good right up to using all of juice. Watch all of Mr. Outlaw's videos and Steel Jam. lots of good info...Good luck and happy vaping...:)
