Hi ECF!

First and foremost, as a noob account on here I simply must thank the ECF - Cloud for saving my life. Finding this site, combing through all the posts I could find I was finally granted the proper vapor setup to allow me to drop analogs 100%. I'm currently 2 weeks in to 0 analog / 100% vape... my wife and family thank you all. ;)

Now for what's got me...I have seen quite a few youtubes showing a PT that does NOT require a battery. A true USB Passthrough - hook it up and vape while batteries are charging. I am trying to find one of these for the eGo - but all I seem to find are PT's built into the battery. This kinda defeats my purpose as I wish to remove the battery from the equation all together.

My setup is a standard eGo with all the defaults (600mah battery, Type B atomizers, empty carts as I prefer dripping).

Please help point me in the right direction for a vendor/item - if one even exists...as I just dont want my USB PT to be limited to the battery it comes built into...

Thanks!

Mucho thanks for the above link!

However, and perhaps I should have asked this prior: My eGo when purchased stated it was a 3.7v 650mah battery.

The above USB is for a 5v. How will this affect my current atomizers (as both came with the eGo starter kit)? Do I need to purchase different atomizers?

The entire 3.7v / 5v topic is something which I still must read up on. Cause looking at replacement atomizers, the LR ones state they should not be used with the eGo - and yet the 5v ones report horrible performance when used with an eGo...so I guess more to be revealed on that one.

Thanks again for all your help!

Sounds like an excellent choice.

I use a 5v PT myself (KR8 threads) with a 3.4 ohm (HR) 'cool cart'.

With the switchable voltage, you should be able to enjoy your regular
cartos at 3.7 but may also want to get some cool carts to try with it
at the higher voltage. Same current draw but more power (much more
vapor production).

I just got mine from Liberty Flights.... It is awesome.... It charges the battery while I vape! Liberty Flights USB cable hooks up to the battery straight into the bottom. I have seen video and pictures of a usb that hooks to the battery with a 90 degree angle - and some people complain of that. Liberty Flights plugs in straight!

I had no idea there was a difference! I'll definitely be taking that into consideration when I actually purchase the eGo PT! Good info! :)

If you prefer the straight over 90 degree most cell phone chargers use the same micro usb connector now just swap your ego and cell charge cables around thats what I did. PS3 controller cable works too.
