I just got an ego-t. I've blown out the atty, cleaned it with everclear, and tried flooding it with liquid. It still has a very funny almost burnt metal taste. The liquid is good, I put it in my Omega and it tastes just fine. Is this a common problem, and if so can it be fixed? Please let me know. Thank you in advance!

A bit surprised that it's one you just got, but either way, if you already cleaned with everclear then it has to be the coil is still gunky - the wicking should be pristine. So do a dry burn - hold for 5-6 seconds without the tank until you see a glow and then continue it to burn off any residue - you should be able to see the glow through the spike and shining out from below the square plate - then do another everclear soak - 15 minutes submerged - blow out and I would also clean the tank. Sometimes burnt liquid can get into the tank at the hot spike. Normally if I see darker liquid - mine are mainly lighter or clear ejuices - I'll take a tissue and put it in the hole to absorb any off color stuff at the end of a tank.

Then when vaping do a refill on the first sign of loss of flavor - vaping after the tank is empty causes most of the off flavors if you've already handled the primer, etc.
