Well after much looking, learning, and research I have decided to get the very combination that Biziou suggested!

This is exactly what I bought and should be here tomorrow. I hope this stuff comes with instructions. I have read numerous accounts of people getting similar vape results the the Twist and Viva and the expensive Proviri models.

I spent around 110 dollars which sets me up with 2 twists, 2 Vivis, Charger, and around 150ml of different juice. I already have enough expensive hobbies and don't want to turn this into. However, I tend to dive in head first. Resistance is futile.

Zuzzette,

The jail let me use my commissary money to buy a PV. I won't be able to eat honey buns for probably a month.

Will - Nicely done. I'd just add a backup charger as soon as you can. You're not going to need much in the way of instruction manuals; the Twist and Vivi Nova are insanely easy to use. As that long thread on the Vivi Nova proves, there's a lot you can learn about the Vivi Nova to make it better, but IMO you can get a fine vape without doing a thing. Fill it, let the wicks soak for a minute, and vape. And changing the atomizer heads is about as tricky as changing a light bulb.

And the way this setup (Twist/Nova) performs, you could hold off on any additional purchases for a long, long time. You might crave a few more Vivi Novas, and maybe another Twist, or a Vision Spinner, but you don't have to turn into a shopaholic; that's just an option that many of us happen to go for. :)

John D in CT,

THanks mate. They should pay you for helping out noobs.

I am a 'bang for buck' type guy. This means that the item should be reliable, have longevity, and perform as well as higher priced items.
This vape stuff is cheap enough that I can buy more expensive items if I know I will enjoy. Even the Proviri isn't a bad price all things considered.

I thought juice would last me a few weeks until I you told me so I wasted money on more expensive name brand juice like Dekang and Vision or VZ. I also bought a sample pack from aquavaporcig.

Hi all,

Curiously, I just wrote a beginners' guide that recommends this setup---the eGo Twist + Vivi Nova. Seems to be a popular combo right now, and I think it's very easy to use. (To see the guide, scroll to the bottom of this page; the link goes off the forum. I'll start a new thread called Vaping 101 for feedback.)

That said, I do recommend the following matches for a PV that looks and feels right:
* 1000mAh Twist . . . 3.5ml tank
* 650mAh Twist . . . 2ml "mini" tank
Plus the little chrome thingies, of course. (They bring looks as well as structural stability.)

Ok here is my twist 1000mah set up with a mini vivi nova 2.5. Looks great and I love it. TWIST W DCT COVER AND MINI NOVA.jpg

You will need on of the Small DCT thread covers to make it look seamless.SMALL DCT THREAD COVER.jpg

You can get all this from Joye eGo | Joye 510 | Electronic Cigarette supplies Tulsa | Batteries, atomizers, cartomizers, e-Liquid and more! my fave vendor. Fast shipping and dependable customer service and very accomodating return policies for defective items.

I went ahead and ordered a third Vivi Nova from vapingzone. I am concerned it may be a knockoff. It does not say 'Vivi Nova' on the clear part of the tank. The graphics on the box are different and again no "ViviNova' is printed on the box. I have not opened it for fear of having to return and don't know how to posts pics on this site On the web, this site labels it VZ NOVA Tank Clearomizer 3.5ml vapingzone.com

In the toolbar above the text entry box, click on the third icon from the right - "Insert Image". It then prompts you to select an image from your computer, or from the internet (url).

I wouldn't bother returning it; it does seem to be a knockoff, but I have a feeling it'll be fine.

I would not recommend the vivi nova at all. I got the authentic v2.5 one from mvs a week ago. Every juice i've put in it tastes absolutely horrible. This is because of the wicking material they choose to use.

The clearos I got with my starter kit are indescribably better. Essentially they are the same as the vivi novas but have a different wicking material. I'm 99% sure that if I put the wick from my clearos in a vivi it would work great.

Imo the people that are touting vivis got a version with a different wick material. Take a look at all the threads about replacing vivi wicks with cotton.

There are tons of people who love the nova on here and 2 that I know of that don't. I know I'm in the category that loves it.

Uhm... there are quite a few people that are not satisfied with the vivi novas. Either the people that are touting it got a wicking material that is different or they are being paid to promote a defective product.

Will the vivi nova and the mini nova setup is the best thing I know of unless you want to get into rebuildables which are not for a beginner.You may also want to look at the vision 2.0 or the vision 3 stardust type. The only setback to the twist is it is hard to see the numbers on the dial (old age and bad eyes lol) But I ordered a vision spinner 1300 mah from here Buy Electronic Cigarettes Online Locally | Buy Cigarettes Online USA it is supposed to be easier to read
Also if you want to do the DIY thing the vivi can be rebuilt with a bit more effort.
