Kind of really upset right now, I dropped my eGo twist (I freaking love this thing man) and now the button is all screwed up. Its partway in, like a slant. Its not constantly on like some button malfunctions, I have to press really hard or at a certain spot for it to fire up. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I tried to pop the button out, but I'm lost, I really don't want to lose my twist. Its my favorite battery/eGo product ever. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I would go for something more durable. If you don't want to spend the money for a Provari, the look at a Vamo. The Provari is a tank, and if you keep spending money on the cheap stuff, you'll wind up spending more.

thanks for the advice, i appreciate it but it looks like now the battery is going to the trash, i was fiddling with the button and the button is now buried inside the battery, looks like I need to order a new one, I loved the twist

ok so yesterday, i dropped my ego and just my luck, it landed right on the button. when i picked it up, the button was stuck in and the power was stuck on. so i removed the clearo and the light went out. i fiddled with the button but couldn't get it to pop back out. i put the clearo back on, and the light stayed off this time.

luckily i have a kinda long thumbnail so i can push the button and make the ego activate. it's not as convenient as having the sticky out button, but it still works! the end. :p

Sorry to hear that. I had one do that as well, so now only use them when I go somewhere I need a disposable (like the hospital when I had surgery). I sure hope you have backups!

Im glad to see so many people have already researched and looked up ways to fix the button problem, and i see this type of thing at least once a week, i advise most of the people to just get a new one because it is tough to fix it back to working like it did before, and there is a REALLY good chance it wont work like it used to. you basically push an object with force inside the main area of the ego battery, its really a tough thing to deal with. i HAVE seen people fix it before, but they have told me it just isn't the way it used to be. Sorry for not being of much help, but i will recommend getting another one anyway because it's always good to have back-ups! i can't stress that enough to anyone!

i would like to respectfully disagree.

i had a button issue with my vision spinner. it was dropped and the button became depressed to the point where it would not click in, push out, or anyhting. it was jammed. i was about to throw it in the trash...but i thought better of that and came to ECF, and jus tlike thise thread, someone pointed me in the right direction.

my advice is to read up on the fix. with a bit of care, you can resorte your button to its normal state. it worked beautifully and the fix took mere minutes. im so glad i didnt trash my $20+ dollar spinner!

I'd like to thank everyone for their help on the subject, my button, while attempting to fix it ended up inside the battery, in the trash it went. I ordered a 2nd one and it worked great and now the button has slipped again, this one was not dropped unlike the first. Its just a bummer that my OG eGo's as old as they are are working no problemo, but both my twists have has button problems. I love the twist, and for the people suggesting Provari's and other such models I'm not a fan of carrying around and device I could vape out of as well as crack someones skull open with not to mention the high price tag (kids have bills and living expenses). I personally just like the eGo, from the size to look to everything. But i appreciate this awesome community coming out and offering advice, this is why ECF rules!
