i love my eGo's, bigger battery so you can use Low Resistance Atomizers, but not so big that you cant conceal it. plus i like the light on the button rather than the end of the battery.

Yes, I certainly agree with this.

My eGo has the 750mah batteries which I like and they keep their charge for a very long time.

The manual button lights up when pressed which I prefer rather than the tip lighting up.

any thoughts on the t rex?

Yes I'd definitely like to know more about the t-rex because it seems to be a different model than most I've seen. I've read a few reviews on it and many seem to be really enjoying it.

So far I can conclude:
1. The inferno, vGo, and Lux styles are all the same model, just re-branded by different vendors (inferno might have a slightly different design with the O-ring atomizer cone)
2. The Riva is very similar to the eGo but kind of bland (for my taste) in the design/looks, plus I'm assuming it's a knockoff of the eGo
3. The T-Rex seems to be a different model than other vaporizers so I'll definitely have to look into that one more
4. The eGo.... so far seems to be the model that started it all. I've heard good reviews and it seems like alot of other models are spinoffs of this design... The only downfall that I can see with it... is the cosmetic design. They come in an array of colours... but only solid colours, while the competition has great looks... but maybe subpar components.
5. Price... really doesn't seem to be much of a factor... honestly, in my opinion. I've gotten some great feedback on sites that you can get some pretty great deals on many different models so best bet is if you think the model you like is too expensive... shop around or ask for some direction on where to look and you'll probably find something comparable to your budget.

Kits/battery sizes/passthroughs are personal preference:
1. A 650 mAh battery will get a person who heavily vapes through most of the day but might still have to switch it out near the evening
2. A 900 or 1000 mAh battery will get anyone through a day and maybe 2 or more, but the battery itself is a little larger so maybe get your hands on one or get some feedback on the feel of them. (Anyone notice a big difference?)
3. A passthrough is not really needed with these larger batteries, but does allow you to have a constant vaping experience while still charging. (If someone is only ordering one battery to start this would probably be their best option) but I think I can make it through a day with 2 regular batteries. (Even if one dies I'm pretty sure I'll have enough juice in the other to get me past a charge cycle once I get home)
4. Kits are cheaper than buying separately... but you only get what comes in the kit. If you want 2 different coloured batteries/cones you have to buy them individually, same if you want 2 different/same battery sizes or maybe a passthrough you might be out of luck with a kit (depending on the manufacturer)

Thanks to everyone for their knowledge & feedback!

*I still haven't made up my mind quite yet but I feel I'm getting a better grasp on what will suit me. If anyone has any knowledge/experience with the T-Rex model or major differences between the battery sizes it would be greatly appreciated!

I have both the 650 mAh battery and the 1000 mAh battery, and the diameter for both is the same, the 1000 mAh battery is about 3/4 inch longer than the short one, and with my cartomizer and drip tip on, the long battery is still shorter than an unsharpened pencil, and is a bit shorter than my V3 with the same cartomizer and drip tip- essentially no difference in hand feel, sticks up a bit when in my car holder. I have the Inferno from Volcano in cherry red.

I just started vaping a month ago and love it! My best friend hooked me on it we both started smoking when we were sixteen. I was a pack a day smoker for the past ten years. He gave me is old Mamga kit from Volcano when he got a Inferno. After about three weeks I realized I was going to need some more power when it came to batts. I called my buddy back asked him what he thought of the Inferno. He sent me the 650 P/T and the USB cable. I love this thing. I work at a desk all day. The company I work for has a very strong antismoking policy. I plug in my 650 to my computer and enjoy huge vapor clouds anytime I want. I have been using only the 650 for about a week now. Over the weekend I charged it on friday night and vaped all day Saturday and the batt finally ran out last night around 10pm.

I would recommend the Inferno and if you are a desk jockey like myself then the P/T comes in very handy.

Awesome! I've been wondering if there was any much of a difference and I don't honestly think 3/4 inch is that big of a difference. I'd imagine the charge time might be a little different but from what I've read it's not that much longer for the larger battery. Thanks for the info!

Sounds like a 650 will last long enough for the amount I'll use it.

I'll have alot of options now when it comes to the batteries because it sounds like a 650 will last long enough for me and there is little difference with the 1000 feel.

Thanks again!

Benji - All eGo batteries take 3 hours to charge, using the eGo fast USB charger, regardless of the mAh.

I like the eGo batteries (like the length of the 900mAh the best in my hand) and after using passthroughs for a few weeks, decided I no longer wanted to mess around with the USB cables. The eGo batteries last so long that there's no need for a USB cable hooked to the end of one or any of them. It's more cost effective and much easier to just have extra eGo batteries (900mAh is my favorite and lasts 9 hours with constant vaping, longer for those who don't vape constantly, it will depend on how many drags you take and how often you take them). Except for a few generic non-vaping items, I prefer to buy original brands and not generic.

Just bought a Joye eGo 1000mah battery from Vicki at cignot.com

If you're a male, the 1000mAh should fit your hand perfectly. I loved my 1000 egos at first, but then I bought the 900mAh egos and like them even better, because they're a little shorter and fit my hand a little better. They're perfect. If you haven't seen it, I posted a picture of all the eGo lengths in a blog today (except for the 650, which I haven't bought).

Got my 1300mah V-Go from Clouds of Vapor 2 days ago...absolutely loving it. Awesome performance and super long lasting batteries...i get 12-24 hours of use on each battery on a full charge depending on usage. They're a heck of a deal at 59.99 for the kit which includes 2 batteries, a cone, USB charger, wall adapter, and 5 of the XL CE2 R4 ceramic cartomizers, and when I ordered mine i used coupon code "BigBuyer" and got 10% off (i just checked it and it still works at the moment).

Just wanted to add a note about the 1300mAh generic: The battery length is 4 3/4", so it's 7 inches long with a cartomizer and drip tip attached -- just in case anyone is considering buying a 1300mAh battery but doesn't want a longer-length battery. The diameter is the same as the 650, 900, and 1000mAh eGo batteries and the 750mAh Riva battery. The battery life is longer than all the others, though.

The charger that came with my kit (not from Clouds of Vapor) was a generic charger and not the eGo fast USB charger. The generic charger takes about 7 hours to charge the 1300mAh battery. The eGo fast USB charger takes about 3 hours to charge the same battery.

That's such a long PV at 7" deback, I'm sitting hear toking on my 6" 1000mah Joye battery with a type b Mega Att & cart and I think this thing is big.

Yup, when I ordered the 1300 Bauway kit (thought it was an eGo and found out later it was Bauway), I had no idea it would be that long. That's probably why I rarely use it, plus the button is rubber and not protected like the eGo buttons. I really like the length of the 900mAh eGos the best (almost 5 3/4" with an adapter, carto, and drip tip attached).

Was it you that posted about the 1300 Bauway battery and that the button caved into the battery burning out the contact?

Well I decided to pick up a T-rex 900 mAh kit :) I'll be posting a review after I use it for awhile. Now i was planning on getting the eGo because it seems like the most reliable choice but the T-rex caught my eye with it's design plus it is the only one I've seen with a metal button versus a rubber/plastic one.

I paid $75 for a full kit from SterlingVapor E Cigs (E Cigs E Juice.com | E-Liquid & E-Cig Accessories)
- 2 Atomizers
- 2 900 mAh T-Rex batteries
- 5 filled cartridges
- 1-5ml bottle of juice
- 1 Atomizer cone
- charger & manual
I also bought:
- 1 extra atomizer cone
- 10 blank cartridges
- 5 C-E2 cartomizers
- A drip tip
- & an eGo carrying case

All of which came out to $119.00 and with $13.00 shipping to Canada it was $132.00 in total

If this one doesn't seem to work very well I'll be instantly grabbing an eGo, but hopefully this is a good machine and not a rebranded knockoff :)

Thanks for all the help! :toast:

Whatever anyone starts on or upgrades to is all subjective. I started on a 51 trio because thats all that was locally available. Then through word of mouth I ended up over at volcano. My wife got a bad pcc with her volcano kit which was promptly taken care of by their CS. I also got a volcano kit and was pretty satisfied but still having urges for an analog. So I skipped the magma and got the inferno kit. Got a vapemate put on the 650 pt and it's my main pv with going over to the 1000 battery for different drippping flavors. Still occassionaly use the little volcano because I like it. Since the end of October, I've only managed to kill one atty and that was my fault for overzealous cleaning.
When I use carts, they are bfm'd. Haven't really found a carto I like and yes I've gotten them from places other than volcano as well. I tend to vape heavy and once I suck a carto dry and get the burnt taste I can never get them cleaned enough to get rid of the taste. Hoping the clearomizers will take care of that issue since I'lll be able to see I'm getting low before I vape one too many times.

I'm more than happy with the product and service that volcano offers and we've had any issues promptly taken care of. There hasn't been too many though. The wife's first pcc being bad and getting 16mg carts when I ordered 8 mg carts has been the only problems. They offer a 1 year warranty so we'll see if batteries and chargers make the full year or give their customer service another workout.

With the exception of some mods, all of this stuff is made in China so who's really to say that the eGo and Inferno aren't coming off the same production line with one getting a threaded on cone and one getting an O-ring cone and then getting stamped according to the vendor/retailers specification?

I like the Inferno. Its a good looking batt and has a nice setup with the PT. As im typing this im using it. Not that I need to but its great to have the option. Honestly the fact of the PT and the look are what sold me on it. I wanted to use LR attys and any fatt batt can do that so it came down to other things. Couldnt be happier and wouldnt change anything! :D

+1 for the inferno. It seemed to be pretty cost effective to me. I started with the kr8 --> joye 510 --> Inferno. I am a happy Inferno owner and I got the cisco atty from volcano, couple of extra atty's and the ceramic cartomizers(forgot the name-brain fart)
It's been good to me so far and I use the PT if my charge gets low otherwise I can typically get a whole day from it.
I'm looking for a mod next (juice feeding) but I didn't know the vapemate would work with the Inferno. So if I can't get a REO mini then I guess I'll be paying a visit to Super T.
I liked the fact I could get a 1yr warranty and they ship out pretty darned fast. No complaints so far.
