I hope they sell out FAST so joyetech feel the pressure of coming up with the next generation eGrip :p. I'm not happy with my VT, that's a final decision. :(
Wouldn't one hope they don't sell at all so joyetech will feel pressure to update the design?

If they sell well, why would they be inclined to update the design?

Thanks for the input. Owned every prior version of Egrip. Feel like I am missing out on an improvement by not buying one, but I Guess I'll pass on this one.

Just got myself a Nebox. Hadn't previously been interested but saw one for a really good price and took the plunge. I really like it - despite previously not getting on with my Subtank Nano or direct-lunging in general. Made me realise it's a bit pointless having temp control on the Egrip as the Egrip just doesn't have enough power/airflow or the right coils for it to work well.

I'll still use my Egrips because it's impossible to vape stealthily with a Nebox - too many clouds.

IMO the best Egrip version is the OLED. It's the most versatile with the CS base/BVC coils, the (leaky) CL base/CLR coils or the RBA base. The removable chimney/temp control on the VT is not worth sacrificing the RBA base for.

The Nebox isn't perfect either, in fact I'm sending mine back to the shop. It's an early version with dodgy resistance reading, old style coils and the obligatory leaks. I've ordered a replacement because it vapes so well and I like the form factor.

@Tpat591 - have you seen this thread?
Aspire Has just released the new Plato Mod!

Looks interesting - I do like those Nautilus coils.

Agree it looks interesting and has potential to perform well. I never really was a Nautilus coil fan. Capacity and versatility wise I personally find the Plato Wanting compared yo Nebox but a possible step up from the Egrip VT.

Filling & emptying methods are interesting solutions, but I can see myself catching the latch on my pocket and dumping the entire tank right down the front of my shirt. Think I will stand by the sidelines on this one & look at the reviews & pricing when the time comes.

If your gonna take the plunge I look forward to your review!

Think I'll wait on this one as well. Feel I got kinda burnt on the Egrip VT.
+ It's way too expensive at the moment and I need to stop buying mods!

Still, something Egrip size with an 18650, properly adjustable airflow, completely removable larger tank and cheap coils (5 BVC for £5 in the UK) looks good. Granted there's no RBA.

Looks like the whole sleeve/cover removes to access the tank and the battery - so your shirt would be safe!

As you said of Nebox - it is tough to vape stealthily due to too many clouds (not the worst issue to have), is a lot cheaper, Enjoys good capacity, and despite not having adjustable airflow or adj airflow, even MTL vapers like its performance better than Egip VT hands down.

Nebox just Ticks Off more of the boxes I need than anything else available ATM. @Appletart tells me that he hears from a Kangertech Facebook post that Kangertech is working on a V2 Nebox version that is not yet otherwise publicly acknowledged (I could not find the post myself).

Hopefully they will work out the remaining issues (reliable TC, Pyrex tank, upgradeable firmware, & adjustable airflow).

Found the confirmation somwhere hidden in the comment section.

Seems like the race for a proper all-in-one is finally on! :)

Agree, or even the V1.
Switching to CL coils with all the incompatibility mess was the downfall. They should rather have re-labeled the Eleaf GS coil series and stayed with CS base instead.

Still vaping on V1 with Aspire BVC / Eleaf GS 1.2. Not interested in anything related to CL.

To me the design of the E-Grip is a "timeless evergreen", under the hood there is still enough space for upgrades:
-better electronic for TC
-a "Cubis-Kit"
-air-flow improvements without drilling
-different nozzles for the RBA
it is a long way from basic to perfekt and it is not half done.
I'm totally with you, it's on the right path. I believe I wouldn't need what you ask for because I like the "basicallity" of it. This is what I would fix/add
-Buttons, -urgently- I despise that wheel.
-Side mini usb port
-Less messy liquid door, perhaps larger orifice
-Larger battery (I wouldn't mind if this makes it slightly bigger or more expensive if these details were perfected)
-Lighter if possible
-Fix leaking and common VT problems.

I tried a brand new 'Ni' coil on it again, after a month of going full on 'Ti'. Still get the "Atomizer Low" message most of the times.
I'm still not sure if this my eGripVT is way much of an advanced mod for me  or if it indeed has a lot of glitches.

Is the egrip really that bad?
Never had one, currently hooked on my Tile's. However as a secondary, stealthy device might be worth a shot.

I understand that the eGrip VT works with regular CLR heads. I was pretty pleased with them on my Ego One / Mega & Wismec Amor. No leaking issues and used these tanks over half a year - and still use them occasionally.

Yes. It is really THAT BAD!!!!! I received one in a giveaway and I couldn't even get one vape. It just leaked and leaked. I kept trying to change things. Fix it, but all I did was waste juice, and get frustrated.
It's a shame. I was really hoping this all in one worked great. I love the ergonomic design. But it is terrible. I've had old old old cheap ego's produce better vapor! I couldn't get a puff let alone a cloud!

It's not you. It's the mod. I'm a veteran vapor and I've nothing but problems.
It's one of the most frustrating mods I've ever laid my hands on! So no it's not you!

I'd be curious to know how long the battery would last on this. As it is a 1ohm at 14 watts lasts me about 6 hrs and 1 tank of juice on the oled.

If I was to use this VT model I'd have a .4/5 Ti coil at about 430/460

If it vapes for you! Only thing it did for me was make everything sticky due to leaking every bit juice all over the place.
I was so disappointed.
I can't even speak on the battery. Because I couldn't get it to vape. Apparently this is a leaking device. Not a vaping mod!!!

Apparently not many interested in these! No movement on this thread for a while.

It's an awful device. Was super disappointed. If you prefer sticky hands from your ejuice. Over vaping your ejuice then this is the mod for you! lol!! It's that bad. I was literally shocked that there's a product this bad on the market for vaping right now. It looks great and it feels really great if only it worked as amazing as it feels in the hand. Then I would be raving about this device. But I can't. It's in the box where it will collect dust now.

It does look like Joyetech has redesigned the airflow in the VT come to think of it. Look at the Drip Tip Diameter below.
View attachment 512341

And looking at the stock airflow holes in the base of the unit they have now incorporated a second air intake hole.
View attachment 512342

Also note in the diagram above there is no Silicon Cap pictured as there was in the diagram for the Egrip OLED CL pictured below. That may mean the Monkey .... cap is eliminated but probably also means the old RBA heads may not be compatible without a new chamber cap for the RBA
.
View attachment 512343

It's the same airflow, and the VT does come with the silicone caps...
For me it was the worst device I've ever used. I was so disappointed about it.

Got the eGrip-VT and must confess that the unit is quite bad. Actually, mine has just died and nothing seems to wake it up from its slumber. the OLED screen only comes on when connected to the power supply else is dead. Hardly used is twice. Wonder what on earth is wrong with it

I couldn't even vape it. It leaked and gurgled so bad. It was awful. Back in the box where it will now collect dust.

The only E-Grip that is leaking is the one with the broken glass.
A bad wicked RBA is "sweating" a little bit, but with all o-rings and sealings well placed, my Grips are dry.
Using CLR-heads the reduction ring in the cap needs to be removed(page 3).
The VT chimney is carrying a sealing-ring, at the top of the coil-head there is no sealing necesssary, but a 6mm diameter hole to allow the chimney to enter.
The two small o-rings at the top end of the Cl- base will survive with a drop of liquid as grease and sensible screwing feeling them slipping into their seat.
More airflow:#110

Existing Evic VTC control panel has all you describe as well as reliable TC in a package admittedly larger, but still compact. A replaceable 18650 is the answer to battery life, which the VTC has. If Joyetech could just run atty wires with banana sockets to the battery sled in parallel to the existing 510, they could create an egrip style tank module with the improvements you list that can replace the battery door on the existing mod and have capacity and performance to put Nebox to shame. This would mean tank could be easily removed from electronics for disassembly & cleaning away from electronics as well. Because it would be modular several configurations of airflow, capacity and performance could be created for separate marketing. Ie: They could do a CS/CL/CLR Module, a Cubis Module, high performace RBA modules or several with different sized and styles of build decks, chambers, airflow and capacities, etc.

It would make the Evic VTC into a modular convertible mod that could have the original configuration, the various Egrip Modules, a Sqonker module, a low tank "VTR" style module, a "Disguiser" concealed tank style module, or a parallel 18650 battery module for extended battery life. The versatility of the mod would be unmatched in the industry and the marketing of the modules would be a huge side business as they could market a new module for any tank configuration that emerges on the market in the future. The same concept can be applied to the Reuleaux in dual battery modes for DNA200 (133w) & RX200 (150w) forms. Both would be wildly popular for years to come.

It would be so easy for them to do, but they just won't listen after a year & half of telling them. They probably think I'm a nut case by now and I am probably on Junk email list company wide.
