It's funny (really ironic) that Mark1963 mentions that today. I had the same issue.

I was planning on taking one of my Bachelors to work today and it was fine on the first day, even after a refill. But after a second refill and having it sit for a day or so with the JFC open I put it on my Evic VT and began vaping. Now the AFC and JFC had been open for that day it sat and no leaks. But the moment I began vaping it, I noticed the flavor was off and I seemed to be going throw liquid quickly. Suddenly it began to flood through the AFC. It did that for a while until I decided to take it apart to check to see if it happened to be the one Bachelor that was missing the inner o-ring. It was not.

I re-positioned the wick, reassembled the coil and refilled it. No leaking. I even laid it down on it's side for a few minutes with the AFC and JFC open and no leaks. Weird. I couldn't take the risk of it leaking in my pocket while I was at work, and I got soured on the flavor for the day anyway with it getting everywhere and blowing it out a few times. So I'll try it again tomorrow. Hopefully it was just a quirk, because I really enjoyed my first day with the tanks.

Anyone have this tank and a lemo 2? If so how does the airflow compare between the 2?

Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

The Bachelor is a bit more restrictive and a hellava lot smoother with the airflow. The Lemo 2 just seems to have a turbulent airflow to me which even changed the flavor.

If you are concerned about possibly having bad o rings, take the tank part off the base, seal the bottom against the palm of your hand and suck hard on the drip tip. I did that with mine to check it before I built it because I removed the o rings for cleaning, and changed to the black ones. I wanted to make sure I put them on right.

If it passes that test, make sure your wicking fills the slots and sticks out a little. Too short and it may leak. Too long and it may get displaced screwing in the base.

Perhaps I spoke too soon. I've been having lots of leaking problems. Chacked the orings which were ok. So I assumed it was my wicking. Turns out I was using too little cotton. When I used more it got dislodged when putting the chimney on. I finally got it right, or so I thought. Today it's leaking again out of the airflow. I'm afraid this thing is just too finicking for me. What a shame, I love everything else about this tank. Here's hoping a bachelor 2 will come out soon and make the improvements.

Okay, so I thought it was my wicking. Replaced it and it's in there good. Still leaking. Replaced the seal that goes down deep inside the chimney. Still leaking. I'm done with this tank. I have several others and they don't have these weird quirks.

I'm sick and tired of faulty "engineering" by these manufacturers. If you watch VapnFagan's review on this, he talks about that seal I replaced. It definitely got stretched/twisted when I was putting the tank back together. Seriously, why do these manufacturers not see this flaw?

Definitely a great tank when it works... which is the case with much of the stuff coming out of China these days. Nobody should have to be a vaping scientist to get a tank to function or wick properly.

I read many reviews on things in here before I spring for them. This tank was an exception. Once I start seeing a lot of complaints, I do NOT buy it.

Each to their own, but I'm done with the Bachelor. The good thing was it only cost me $20.

I couldn't agree more. I'm having similar problems. A real shame since I luv everything about this tank...but now it goes in the drawer. Hopefully a Bachelor 2 will address these quirks?

Big shout out to Eciggity. Ordered a Bachelor last week and it came with the box dented in and the glass broke. Ok, no problem, put on the spare and away i went vaping happily. Decided to send them a email with a picture not really expecting them to do anything cause sometimes stuff happens especially with USPS. Well three days later
( 3 days from Hawaii to WI wow ) they sent whole new tank. That's customer service.

Makes me wonder if it's a syphon issue. Ya know how it's bad to have wicking touch the lip of an airhole. Because the coil legs are vertical, I wonder if juice travels down the legs, filling the chamber with juice?

Roxy, here's the base section after I took it off last night. I left it sitting on my kitchen counter. Then I saw your post and figured I'd upload these. Sorry for junk quality images.

As far as I can see, my wicking is spot on. My seals are all good, too.... and that's after replacing that deep chimney seal.

My statement is unchanged. This tank is now a paper weight.

I've been hesitant to comment since mine started leaking recently after I rewicked but kept the same coil build. I rewicked yet again thinking that leaking was caused by my rush to rewick as I sat in a hotel room away on business travel. Since I did the other rewick the leaking has gotten less but still happened randomly. For me the tank was rock solid with absolutely no leaking until these last two wicking attempts so I see absolutely no reason to blame the tank. While random leaking is frustrating to say the least if you are OCD like me but it doesn't mean the tank suddenly went FUBAR & needs to be trashed, it just means I somehow missed something or there is a leaking seal. Either way I will figure it out & the tank will continue to be one of the best tanks I own. This is a good tank IMO, I just need to find my error & fix it because a tank doesn't just fail after two weeks for no reason (again IMO)

I 100% agree with the above. I thought my lemo 2's were super smooth when wicked properly, but it's tough to get it perfect.

The bachelor is super smooth no matter what I do. Hasn't leaked a drop, wicks like a champ, and the flavor is FAN-TASTIC.

I rebuilt it this morning with a 3 mm spaced coil reading .57 in my kooper Mini. Been vaping it all day. This had seriously become my favorite tank.

On a side note, I threw a small Clapton reading .35 I one of my STM, and that does give the bachelor a decent run for flavor, but the bachelor still wins for top fill and juice control.

And Miguel, check your coil is sticking up far enough. If its too close to the airhole the wick could be dripping into it. I used the stock one as a model to cut my leads the same length.

Also a larger diameter coil will give you more wicking to fill the slots. Mine is huge because I used this SS clapton wire I got from FT. It was very hard to wrap. I tried 3.5mm and it expanded bigger than that. My coil has to be at least 4mm ID, lol! But, its delivering great flavor so I've left it in there. However, that wire is going to give me fits with other attys, being so bouncy.

UPDATE: I took the suspect tank to work with me, and there was absolutely no leaking. It was even in the side pocket of my cargo pants and I walk a lot during my shift at work, so it was jostled about quite a bit. The flavor was spot on, and there were no surprises, although I kept looking at the tank expecting it to gush liquid at a moments notice.

I'm not certain what caused the leak the day before. Perhaps the base wasn't as tightly sealed as it should have been; perhaps the wicking got moved about or my fill cap became dislodged... don't know.

I just kept my juice flow control cracked (using a 50/50 in here) and nothing, not even condensation. So I'm writing this off as new user error.
