Yeah, I had one take 3 months, but I knew it was in a shipping container so there was nothing to do but wait. This one allegedly shipped 11 days before CNY though. By airmail. So it should've made it out of China in time. So I suspect FT either lost it, or China Post did. As long as I get a working tracking number within paypal's time frame I'm ok with it. But, I think I had a right to inquire when it supposedly shipped a month ago but tracking never worked.

As enticing as those China prices are I've been burned too many times. I'd rather pay a few dollars more and buy it from a reputable US seller and have it in a couple of days. I have purchased a few items from slow tech in the past but when I do bite the bullet I resign myself to the fact that I won't see it for at least a month. Usually I forget about it and I'm pleasantly surprised when it arrives. Lol

Thanks for the response! How many spaced wraps can you fit on the deck with 26g? Ohms?
Depends on the coil diameter. According to steam engine 10 wraps 26g SS 3mm will give you 0.7 ohms. That will pretty much fill the deck. I run 7 wraps for 0.5ohm seems to work well for me.

I ordered mine from ECiggity and with a 10% off coupon that wiped out the shipping, it was comparable to Chinese pricing. Was I impressed with how quickly the tanks got from Hawaii, across the Pacific, then across the continent to my fair hamlet. Standard USPS to boot!

Shipped on: Friday, 2016-02-19 01:20 PM
Delivered on: Monday, 2016-02-22 11:10 AM

I did the exactly the same. Eciggity is tops in my book. 2 days to get from Hawaii to Florida first class mail. I've waited longer for something to arrive from Georgia. Lol

Just wish more US vendors would accept PayPal. Most of my purchases from China have been based on that. I hate putting my credit card info out there. I got burned by a popular vendor and it's made me a little skeptical.

I use a onetime number from my credit card issuer.
No worries with that.

Ordered 1/31, finally arrived in NY on 2/22, left NY this evening on its way down here!

I sent FT an email asking the status since it was stuck on "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" forever, was told "We will submit inquiry to the post office to institute investigation for this item. They may take maximum two months or 60 days to finalize the investigation." I'm glad I don't have to wait 60 days! I've had better luck with FT in the past, anywhere from one week to two weeks for delivery in FL, but never this long, must be the CNY.

Hmm, after initially enjoying this atty I'm also now having horrendous issues with leaking- O-Rings are all intact, and wick is fluffed up around where the wick pokes out. I think the issue is that by design, the wick cannot protrude very much, unlike Taifun for example, and also unlike the Taifun there is no way of veryifying that it remains in place. If the wick sticks out too far you cant intstall the deck because of the overhanging cotton.

Have gone back to my Aromamiser and Serpent for the time being, but will perhaps try a 3.5mm ID coil and also perhaps try an S-Wick of sorts....

Am of the opinion that the Taifun GT/ GT2 is a much better implementation of this type of direct-wick (as apposed to vacuum) deck design...

I've changed the way I wick mine now. I leave about 3mm of cotton outside the channels and, using tweezers from above, pinch the ends of the wick and bend them down inside the cup. Then I make sure the side of the wick is up against the channel. This way you don't have to worry about the wick getting pulled away from the channel when screwing the base on. I've had no wicking or leaking issues since using this method.

For all folks who may have experienced some leaking with their tanks I just had a big reminder about the effect of temperature. I was planning on doing some work outside this morning and filled my trusty Bachelor for the work excursion and slipped the mod and Bachelor in my pocket.

It's a pretty warm day for winter in Arizona right now (about 75F). After about an hour's work I suddenly noticed I was feeling a bit antsy....weird ....almost like a nicotine high. I pulled the mod out of my pocket and sure enough the tank had almost completely emptied itself and I had a very e juice soaked pocket.

I decided it was a great time to take a shower to get the nicotine off my leg and dropped the jeans in the washing machine.

Obviously I knew that a pressure rise in the tank would force a leak and I also knew that a significant increase in temperature would cause the pressure to rise but I forgot how small those pressure changes in the tank have to be to force e liquid out big time.

I refilled the Bachelor and it's been totally fine since but I haven't put it back in my pocket where some body heat and sunshine can do it's nefarious action on tank temperature. The Bachelor is a lot happier to be sitting nearby in the shade.

Next time you have a leak it might be a good idea to think about what the changes in temperature might have been recently.
