It's autumn mild outside and indoors where I have been vaping is usual I.e. Heater on and fire on in evening. Same place my old coils worked just fine. So Thursday with old coils weather same as Friday with new coils. Doesn't fit as an explanation.
I have e-mailed company coils came from and asked for a refund or replacements...have to wait and see what they say.
Meanwhile old coils back in nautilus, gs air m fired up, aerotank min on go now and all working well.
I was looking to get into the gs series. Do the 1.5's currently use cotton? I noticed mention of silica before.
Having different backups is a wise thing! I have nautilus mini's. GS Airs, KFL V2+ clone and I'm good! Also have a leaky kanger subtank mini to work on one day haha
Yes. Dual coils, cotton wick. The 1.2s are single vertical cotton.
LVM, I was the same way with my grandson when he was first born. I was always buying him things just to have an excuse to go and see him. Now that he lives with me? I can't wait until he's out the door and gone!

Funny you say that - I went shopping right after I left my daughter's and I bought several toys for the baby. But they are for Christmas. Gs air m 1.2 coil update. First 1.2 coil rinsed, vodka soak, rinsed and dried, post first 15 ml. Now back in tank with some Black Note Legato and it vapes perfectly. As good as new. No gurgling, leaking, popping etc. Lovely thing.
Also experimenting with my previously neglected mini aerotank, the vocc coils prompting me to revisit. Darn it is also a good tank, tastes so much better than the full size aerotank or protank for me. Now why is that?

It's kind of weird how they make no mention of silica on the eleaf site. I wonder if i can cram an aspire bvc into the gs tank.
From what I've seen, I think they are moving to all cotton on the 1.5 coils too. Many sites are listing them as "new" and "all cotton".
You're absolutely right Cheechako, they had me fooled. The 1.5 ohm dual coils have a very fine fiber shiny white silica wick inside the coils, and as you say, cotton around the coil can to wick to the silica. I had only looked at it from the top before, but just took one apart. Even flame tested it, she doesn't burn, lol. I've taken several of the 1.2 ohm vertical coils apart, so I'm sure they are all cotton wrapped around the outside of the coil. My Nautilus Mini vertical cotton coils are all cotton as well.
What do you wick with when you rewick those tiny GS Coils?
