From what I've seen on one vendor's website and on the eleafus website is that the dual coil 1.5 will now be made with cotton vice the mystery material.

As someone who made a similar transition with nautilus coils, I'm not too happy about it.
The older material (in both coil's cases) lasted a long time and was difficult to scorch/burn.
I have found that cotton burns easily. It's like a viscous cycle, cotton singes a little -> reduced wicking ability -> singes more -> reduced wicking ability even more -> singes even more -> etc.
I am hoping TC solves the problem of using cotton for wicking material.
I also do not think cotton wicks taste better.
Use 2.5ml to build your coil then a 1.5 or 2.0mm to insert it into the head, remember to torch and pinch it beforehand...You're re building the 1.5 Ohm coils, right? Will a 2.5mm bit/rod fit in the wick slots?
can someone help me, ive a eleaf 40w kit with gs tc tank, and when I fire in watt mode it says atomizer low, no matter if its at 1w or 40w and all in between! so when I pust the middle button and go to the temp bit anything under 200c says temp control! and over 200 to 600f it will fire for a second and then say temp procted I don't get it,ide be so pleased if someone can advise
You still recoil with silica? This is not good... I like my silica wicks. I really do. I don't think they taste bad and they are so user friendly--and they don't burn. They can be rinsed and reused and rebuilt easily. The problem with cotton wicks is that it only takes one dry hit to ruin the coil head--permanently.
You still recoil with silica?
I always found it difficult to work with and temperamental if over handled.

Good for you! Hard to imagine anyone using silica to rewick. No, I don't recoil with silica. I, err, rarely recoil my Airs.
I make my coils for my Kayfun 4 (my favorite RBA). I love my Airs a la Kat--open the blister pack and go! So convenient, so easy, so reliable...

Thank you, Lynn! Hope everyone will post, there are another 100 to give away with the next drawing coming up on Friday. Even if you win and don't plan on using it yourself, it would be a great PIF. I may not use the TC function, but I love that it takes 18650 batteries. I have lots of those batteries and the government can't make them illegal!Woohoo!!! Congratulations @LostVapeMonster and @Nanny22!!! You guys rock!!!
hang onto those used coils!![]()

Yep, I am stickin' it to the man.
Didn't someone sing about how it never rains in southern California...I am. I rebuilt a few, early on, just to see how it's done. But then I got lazy. Saving them for a rainy day--when there's nothing else to do. That is, if we ever get a rainy day in SoCal...![]()

you rebel!
Don't know where to look first, do ya?So much wrong in that pic...so much.![]()
