Hey Mario: Good Morning! You really need to speak with Cheechako! He's the one who figured these all out! He has Tutorials, Videos and a good general knowledge! He's the Head Air Head! He should be here soon this Morning. So Get Your Coffee on! Oh, and get yourself some Rayon! No More Burnt Taste.

Can someone kindly post a more up to date (noob) guide on rebuilding the coil please (no offense meant to the original guide). I'm not a noob but I'm having serious problems. I'm building my coil with the diameter of 1.5mm from 1.2-1.8 ohms using the Japanese cotton. I was able to rebuild it twice using the above mentioned method and I was getting an excellent vape but from the third on I always get a slight burnt taste.

Have a good Sunday PeePs ☺️

LVM, I feel your pain! Yesterday I woke up with a migraine. That's the 2nd one this week! Normally, I have 1 every 10 years.

Oh, no fun Lynn. I was getting them frequently like that a few years ago and finally had to be put on Topamax. It has been a miracle! Now I'm back to getting them once or twice a year. Bonus - I lost over 10 pounds when I first started taking it.

How many layers of liner do you use? If you are using two layers, try one.
It sounds as if your coils are not wicking enough.
I recoiled and wicked with all the possible combinations and variations I could think of for this coil
and settled on rayon and gauze liner material as the best performers for me.
Another variation with cotton of any type is the tendency to swell and inhibit the wicking giving a bit of
burnt taste. I still get a little variable in the coils I redo, some are better than others.
I settled on rayon because I like it, not because it's the best. The best is what you like.
I haven't found too much to have changed since the original video with the 1.5 coils...I don't own any of the newer
coils.
@Skullman thank you for the kind words!
Good morning Airheads!

Now I'm finding that for some things texting is so convenient that we're thinking of getting IPhones

but what's wrong with using your email to text? :?: i realize texts usually get answered much faster - learned that real quick from my boy

Same thing happened to me. Burnt taste almost has to be insufficient juice on the wicking.

I go to extra effort to Be Sure the wicking is saturated. A drop on each shroud slit and 5 or 6 drops down the top pipe, then install in the tank and take a few hits with no power. I still may let it sit for a few minutes. I don't mind hearing a little gurgle on the first powered hit, at least I know the wicking has juice in it then. You can either burn up or shake out the excess juice, it's not much. Yeah, it's a bit of a pain, but not near the pain of rewicking toasted wicking.

Not so critical when refilling a tank, but on that very first powered hit from a fresh rebuild...

~ Good Morning Cheechako; You are Most Welcome! Just saying it like it is! In My Opinion You are the most Knowledgeable on this Particular New Line and Design of Tanks in these threads! You did present to us the First Organised and Thought Out Rebuild of Their Stock OEM Coils and offered up tips that you had already worked out! So You should take and accept it! Yes, I do put you into that category because well, You Are! You've Helped Many in the Forums including me! And all with Patients and Your Great Humor!

Thanks everyone you were all so kind!

Instead of working with the inner coil diametor of 1.5mm, I used an inner diametor of 2.5mm and made a 1.5ohm microcoil. I've been vaping at 15watts for a couple of hours now and it's all good! I'll try going up with the watts when it breaks in, In Europe it's kinda hard to find Rayon plus I like the Japanese cotton better...

Again, I thank you all and hope you all had a wonderful Sunday!

Nothing wrong with that, but I don't have a computer in my pocket when I'm in the yard or when I'm otherwise out and about.

Well here is a before and after of my hard work. View attachment 493805 View attachment 493807
Oh how nice, LVM!!! Love the color. And that looks like a perfect spot for a little princess to have a sleepover with her special Grandmother! Any idea what you will want her to call you? (Obviously I am "Nanny" to mine.) Whatever she calls you, you will love it, LOL. My husband is "Grampy" but for the longest time all the girls could say was "PeePee". HAHAHAHAH -- poor old guy!

Thanks, Nanny. I love it. Lots of work, but worth it in the end.
I am going to go by Mimi. I can't wait!
