Hmmm...my 40W will do it without an atomizer attached.
You had to push both the up button and fire button with the 40W deactivated for 20 seconds, right?

That is correct! Mine will not go into Ti mode without an atomizer attached though, tried many times, no go! Works real well once the atomizer is on there though!
