Grrrr. My rather high electric bill this month is preventing me from getting anymore vapemail right now.Second pack of coils arrived today. So, I have 1 tank, 1 1/2 packs of coils, and tank 2 due to arrive tomorrow.
That should give me adequate protection for now from all you hoarders.![]()

Yeah. Who needs heat when it's 20 degrees outside?I understand that.
Maybe tell the electric company that you aren't paying this month due to more pressing vaping needs.![]()
For whatever it is worth - I'm no expert and just making it up as I go:
I would think drying out, when using vodka, is unnecessary. Next tank, I'm filling it with vodka, shaking, pouring that out, and then I'm going ahead with juice.

It's kinda crazy that immediately the mfgs jumped to the subohm game....it's like we completely missed the middle of the road in terms of wattage. I am hoping that this one fills that void a bit for folks who liked the Nautilus but weren't completely satisfied by it.
In reality, I loved the istick 20, but it needed more than just one tank that was a good matchup. I could not use the single or dual coil Protanks on it.....because it immediately toasted coils. The wicking and airflow couldn't keep up.
A mini and preliminary "review", by KD:
It hits very well to me, with no change in the original air flow control. It has a bit less of that spitting crackling of vliquid often present on the Naughties.
The flavors are a bit "lighter" (think tonality, not concentration) than on the Naughts. I'm finding more of the sweet notes in my vliquids.
Do the GS Air coils give you a similar increased "nicotine hit"???
As I see it...I think the new sub-ohming (low Ω's, high Watts) craze is aimed at "hobby vapists".
I...as an "analog convert vapist"...am quite satisfied with the "cigarette experience" of my Mini Nauty's with BVC's at 7-8 Watts on my 20W-iStick and 11-12 Watts on my 30W-iStick. But I am looking at the GS Air because of it's slightly larger capacity.
Your dislike of the 20Watt-iStick was completely addressed in the later iSticks. The 30Watt and 50Watt iSticks no longer vape "hot" (they use RMS), and have Stainless Steel spring-loaded 510 connections.
After KartoTanks, BCC's and BDC's...I had to cut my nicotine level in half (12mg.=>6mg.) in order to be able to stand up when I started with the Nauty BVC's.

My only complaint is that it just doesn't hold enough juice. In fact, the tank seems to waste a lot of space. With it filled all the way, once you turn it upside down to put on your pv, there is at least a good half inch of wasted space.

Until a week ago, I've been vaping on a Vamo V.2 for the past couple of years. I've used old protanks, vision vivi novas, and for the past year T3s clearos. I was pretty happy with the T3s, since the coils are rebuildable and rewickable, so the whole vaping experience was pretty affordable.
However, like others, I've lately been noticing all the new vv/vw devices, clearomizers, and rebuildables coming on the market and thought maybe it was time to get off the horse and buggy and try something new. So I bought myself an iStick 30w and started looking for a tank to use with it. I read this thread and one on the Kanger subtank, so decided to buy both.
I got my GS Air last monday and was completely floored at the explosion of flavor from the very first vape. Who knew vaping could taste this good! I am still happily vaping on the stock coil that came with it without any issues whatsoever. I didn't even soak the tank, just filled it with ejuice, let it sit awhile, then vaped. My only complaint is that it just doesn't hold enough juice. In fact, the tank seems to waste a lot of space. With it filled all the way, once you turn it upside down to put on your pv, there is at least a good half inch of wasted space. If it were top fill, you could make use of it. It would be nice if they came out with a taller version. I also wish it were possible to rebuild these coils without a lot of trouble.
Unfortunately, my experience with the subtank hasn't been as good. The vape is way too airy for my taste, even with the airflow minimized. Even with one finger over one hole. The drip tip is too wide, so I put a smaller one on, but I still get this overwhelming hit that just about tears my throat out (and that's with the 1.2 ohm stock coil). I'm guessing you're going to have to be a straight lung hitter to enjoy this thing, and I'm not. I bought it because it has the rebuild deck, so thought I would be able to keep rebuilding coils and it would be very affordable.
Now if there were something that vaped like this GS Air and was rebuildable, I'd be all over it. In the meantime, guess I'd better get a couple more of these. It's definitely the best thing I've ever vaped.
What a waste of vodka!
FWIW, I never use alcohol to clean my tanks--just hot water and a bit of dishwashing detergent and a thorough rinse afterwards is usually all it takes. Then I just air dry (if I have the time) or use a kitchen towel to dry the outside--a few drops of water on the inside won't do any harm--there is water (albeit distilled) in our juices.
That said, I've never had a tank that required a more thorough cleaning. And since you only have to do it once, a little vodka can be sacrificed; I just wouldn't use my Gray Goose or Finlandia.![]()
We only keep the cheap stuff in the house, so I don't feel bad. It's convenient, and I think it works really well.

No, you will not. That's saved for you and me, remember?![]()
I've noticed this, too. I kind of look at it as a little bonus magic trick. I think I fill it up, flip it over, and presto, I haven't filled it up.
I actually don't look for more capacity. I have juice ADD, so I like being able to blow through the tank to get to another flavor.
Here's a nice little trick for filling Kanger tanks (they have the same problem) to capacity; the guy is a bit long winded, so you may safely skip the first 4 minutes of the video, but the solution is brilliant! It works for Kanger tanks--I'm sure it can be applied to the GS Air:
did it this morning! had to pull off a lot of the cotton from the q-tip to get it in the airhole, but everything else worked the same! whoo hoo!
