Just be warned, if I'm not mistaken, that it resets the wattage to 75 watts. How do you update?
Do you just plug in the usb to the computer or do you go to the eleaf web site? Thanks

That and my heart damn near stopped when I was making my tutorial on the last page! I didn't intend to actually update my Pico because I like the firmware that's on it. But for getting pictures for the tutorial, I went in like I was going to update it so that I could get screenshots. I clicked on the logo button in the update software. Then I just exited that box and the whole update software and unplugged the USB cable. I went to use my Pico and NOTHING happened. The screen was completely black. I took the battery out and put it in and still nothing.Just be warned, if I'm not mistaken, that it resets the wattage to 75 watts.
What do you set you watts to in tcti mode? Also do you know what amp battery you have?I did the update as soon as I got my Pico. Didn't mess with the logo just picked the firmware and opened the newest file version. I've only use ti1 wire with it set at 400f coil .28ohm. (did bump it to 420 when the coil got gunked) When my new Lavabox m 75 came I let the tank sit for a while to room temp the coil (serpent mini) and the Lavabox read it at the same .28 Spider silk ti 1. Just ordered some more ti from temco. Don't think I'd try any other wire for tc unless I get REALLY board.
Okay thanks. I can't wait to get my new batteries for it.I set the watts at 30 but in tc it uses what it needs (I don't think I've seen it hit 30 maybe for a mls). The batteries are rated at 20a, lg batts. You can hit it in a mirror and watch the screen, you can see the watts its using and watch the temp go up untill it hits the tc screen.
My Wismec/Joyetech/Eleaf mods have "bricked" (not really as it's easily remedied by simply reinstalling the firmware) when I've forgotten to press "exit" before taking it off the usb so it's not about the mod being reformatted. That's funny. So I guess it reformatted before it installed the new firmware.
I think it just waits to finish the process before It will boot. So for me I clicked to upload a logo and then exited the software. Now the firmware is expecting a logo, but there isn't one in the memory so it probably just fails to complete the startup process. My Wismec/Joyetech/Eleaf mods have "bricked" (not really as it's easily remedied by simply reinstalling the firmware) when I've forgotten to press "exit" before taking it off the usb so it's not about the mod being reformatted.

But the firmware is still there. When I did it with logo, i just finished the logo update and it didnt reset any of my settings like temp and watts like it does with a full update. But I didnt try it by not completing the firmware update, I just did it with the logo.I don't think it's even that. If you don't press exit it simply results in a non-functioning device (easily remedied by reloading the firmware though).

Yes, but it seems to leave the device "open" in some way, so that even though there's firmware it won't function. But the firmware is still there. That's good, With customs, it can always be a hit and miss game on whether your package will make it through. I had a laptop once, and I ordered a simple metal bracket for the harddrive, and it got held up for weeks going through customs. When I finally got it, it had so many stamps going back and forth so I guess there was some paperwork and they sent it back and then it went back to customs and finally to me. By that time I think I ended up junking the thing. My two Pico's I ordered from Gear best went thru Los Angeles yesterday, and are scheduled for delivery on the 6th. So I guess all is well there.![]()
Another single 18650 Eleaf. It could use a bigger tank, but seems like lame button placement.
Eleaf Aster 75W TC Mod
i like it at first glance and threw a couple in my cart for later consideration. I agree the button placement is different but at least it seems to look better and be better for thumb firing vs the pico at first glance. Will try to update if/when I buy one.... I assume this was on the pre-order market before aug 8 since MVS is a USA site?
Thanks for the link. Other then the shape, doesn't look like anything new over their similar mods. But at the price, should be attractive to many. With my current stock pile of Pico's and VTC Mini's, I'm personally just interested in new DNA75 mods. The chip is assume and with the latest updates, if your a SS fan, they are IMO the best on the market right now, at least in the single 18650 category, which besides my toy mini mods, is all I use.
Asters are wonderful for anyone with smaller hands---thinking of a 2nd one.Since this was the only place I see this mentioned, I thought I'd give some feedback. Just received The Aster mod from Desert Vapes. It's a cute little sucker. Yeah the button is in a higher spot but it is a very comfortable placement. The mod feels like half the size of my vtc mini. The way its shaped though it is only slightly smaller. As far as tank size goes, The Merlin (23mm I believe) fits beautifully. The Borea has a slight overhang.
