I haven't notice the clicking issue, but dropping wattage in .1 increments is due to swapping coils (tanks) for some reason. Luckily, it's upgradable.
I'm not swapping anything, same tank, same coil, same juice, it just keeps going down on it's own.

My Pico doesn't have either of these issues, so they're not consistent to the model.
I said "the most consistent problems I've heard", not that it effected every one of the model. I'm actually hearing more issues with getting the clicks right now than I'm hearing about the dropping in power mode.

FWIW, my Pico occasionally drops 0.1W in Watts mode with Kanthal 1.8 Ohm coils (definitely not stressing it). Seems somewhat random, but swapping tanks or even just re-seating can make it happen. Not enough to bother me much right now.
I wasn't meaning to complain, just stating what mine does and I've heard from other users. For what it is, what it does, and what it costs, I'm happy! I'm looking for another right now if that says much, and I don't own two of any mods, or atties.

I'm sure real RTA's are more flavorful then most of my little tanks with prebuilt coils, but I can't risk the leaky ones as I travel. For me I don't have the time or patience to play with wicking over and over, and still not have 99.9% confidence it's not going to leak again. While not flavor monsters, the Cubis, Melo 3, and the new Eleaf Lyche, have never leaked a single drop on me. I'm hoping my new Kayfun v5, does not leak, according to those that have them in hand already. And they have been making these popular RTA's for a long time. It is however a tall tank at 60mm. A Cubis is only 40mm to the top of tank. Someday, when I'm bored and have play time I'll revisit the Goblin Mini 3, and Pico tank, but doubt I'll ever put them in a pocket or bag again.
The you want a GP Spheroid, it does not and will not leak even in high altitude.

My Pico drops wattage when changing or reseating attys as well. The same thing happens on my Cuboid, it's a Joyetech thing.

8 versions of Cuboid firmware later has not fixed it, so I doubt a Pico firmware will fix this issue. Those that are OCD, it will drive them crazy, the rest of us just tap the power button a few times.

I want a new firmware to be released so I can get rid of the .1 power increments and go up and down by 1W like I do on the Cuboid.

So nobodies metal is getting discolored? No paint chipping?

I don't use mine enough to notice any of the seemingly slight issues the Pico has, more like "nit picks" then anything else. Its a nice, cute and reliable mod.
Going over two weeks, it's all I've used, no metal discoloration, no paint chipping (I have the silver), only flaw is a few light scratches where I dropped it. I've spent years in machine shops and I'm known as "the ruster", I'm very acidic it seems, so I should have something soon, if it's going to happen.
You are correct, they are "nit picks" for sure, and for the price you can't complain, you'd just think they'd have things sorted out better by now is all.

I dunno about you guys, but I learned he to rebuild coils with my protank II which was really easy. Admittedly, it took me an hour of experimenting with a youtube video for me to get my first working one. It was pretty seamless moving to a kayfun a couple of months after.

It's like driving a car. Every car is a little bit different, but they all work the same way pretty much. I feel like I'm jumping the gun a little bit buying extra mods. I don't think much changes after the August date. But for now, I will have my Pico, my VTC Mini that's in the mail, 4 kayfun lites which is the only tank I use, four protanks with airflow control bases, and enough cotton/rayon to last me the rest of my life. Wire won't be outlawed. It just won't say "Lightning Vapes" on it anymore.

I'll buy a triple batch of juice on Memorial Day, but I think we'll still be able to buy juice from China one way or another. Just the thought of Dekang doesn't sound appealing right now.

In close to two months, my metal has dulled a little, but mostly just the power button. That's about it. Though I'd prefer it didn't happen, it's so minor that it doesn't bother me at all. I've see a couple that were so discolored that it baffled me as to how it happened. My white paint looks as good as new expect one tiny tiny chip where I dropped it.

I guess you're just careful with your mods. For me, I always end up being a bit rough with my electronics (being butter fingered and all lol), hence the obsession with wrapping my electronics with all sorts of "protection".

On my Pico, the silver painted parts I left unwrapped (the screen area) already has some scratches on it, and the unprotected parts of the brushed zinc trim (the bottom in particular) has numerous micro-scratches on them and have also started to "patina" slightly... so yeah, the finishing on these things aren't really "top grade" per se - but considering the paint hasn't completely faded in my hands yet it's also not *that* bad either.

That said, I've also dropped the thing a couple of times and yet it's still ticking fine, so I can at least vouch for the physical durability of the Pico.

Keep in mind though, I'm from an extremely humid and typically hot locale and it's not exactly the easiest environment to keep electronics pristine looking in lol.

This is definitely a "thing" for me…Ive tried 5 rapid clicks, 5 continuous, deliberate clicks that are slightly less rapid, clicking on the center of the button, clicking with an emphasis on either curved side of the button…yep…it will only power on and off when it wants to.

I do get the .1 drop but I just reach under and adjust it back up.

I can't see how the click issue is firmware related..it seems more mechanical to me.

Variance in switch sensitivity, perhaps? After all, the Pico *is* a budget device, and we can expect the parts to be as such - not bad per se, but just with a wider quality deviance.

Personally, I'm having no problems as long as the 5 clicks are "deliberate". The fire screen does usually come on for a fraction of a second, but the device does turn off once I'm finished with the 5 clicks.

At least it's better than the button on my old iTaste VV lol. Now that bugger was a PITA.

Watch the entire vid, fast forward if you have to, he's boring! But he takes the whole thing apart, then puts it back together and vapes on it! How many $30 mods can you do that to?
The body is either Zinc or Alum, I'm not sure, but it's all one piece. It's built solid, I promise!
