Are you reasonably certain that your LG-HG2's are authentic???

Counterfeit/Low Grade LG HG2 Test Results

..

Now that you ask, I am not sure whether my LG is fake or not. I suspect it is. They were kind enough to send a replacement, but the second one is also a suspect. I don't have the necessary gear for a test, but basically, each battery lasts around 5 ml of juice vaping at 12 watts. Perhaps others can chime in whether that is normal or not.

It should definitely last more than 5 ml.

The GMv2 FINALLY not suffering any incontinence after the umpteenth try with the wicks... though it gives me sorta-dry hits sometimes when I chain vape now.

Next try, slightly less wick tails.

Is it worth all the effort? Looking at just how well it complements the Pico... yep, I guess.

I have to admit, that just looks sexy! What's the draw like on it? I'm a "tootle puffer" and like tight draws. But that looks NIIIICE! And I know where I can get a deal on one, so............... I'm thinking hard!

If the "brushed silver" is actually SS, that will be great for finish durability. But I'm quite sure I wouldn't tolerate the extra weight.

Remember the Kanger Kbox Mini Platinum?

That is what I thought .... I have ordered a Samsung from Fasttech as comparison. Should be here in a few days, but I am not sure if that one will also be a fake - even though they claim it is authentic.

I don't think it should be heavier, not by much at least. Zinc alloy is a pretty heavy material.

Edit: well, I guess "zinc alloy" could be pretty much anything, but what's usually used is quite heavy.

The Pico body is aluminum. Top and bottom caps are the zinc alloy.

Are you sure? I can't access the eleaf website at the moment, but aluminium seems like a too expensive material for such a cheap mod. Almost every other budget device is made out of zinc alloy. I see some vendors mentioning aluminium as the material, but that's not really proof.

I took it apart and checked when I first got it. Anodized aluminum. BTW, the screws are self tapping (another indicator of soft material like aluminum) so be careful not to cross-thread, over-tighten, etc. Aluminum strips easily.

Thanks! Some real information, this is what we need! I'd be ok with the extra weight, the Pico almost feels too light for me, and I'm always searching for (good) mods that match my stainless steel atties.

Checking differently wired attys on three JTech mods a couple of days ago, the full size Bachelor ended up on the Pico. It's plenty heavy now. :p

When I go out shopping in a bit, I think I'll put an original PC iSub on it.
That's makes for a very light pairing. Quite pocket friendly. :D

He has a vendor thread here as well.
Though other than the "open box Pico" topic, I don't know what he posts in it.
Yeah I read the post. I told Dave to check out the threads here for interest. So if anyone wants the two new versions, speak up here. So rockymountainvape will hopefully carry for us to order. They were charging $39 with 25% off with code "president" & free shipping for the original 5 colors.

The GMv2's airflow adjustment range covers MTL (well, slightly loose MTL anyway) all the way to DTL (at least slightly tight DTL) so yeah, you might just like it. That there in the pictures is it being set to relaxed MTL.

Problem is, if you MTL you'll probably have to fiddle a helluva lot more with the wicks than the videos online would have you think (like me).

Tight draws are even more unforgiving to improperly adjusted wicks... as it tends to flood the bugger and lead to slight incontinence - much faster than it would with normal wide open draws.

On another note... the Pico's a lot more durable than the weight would have you think lol. Source: I just dropped it from table height onto a thinly vinyl carpeted concrete floor *aghast gasp*... no battle scars except for a tiny dent on one corner and slight bit of CF shearing off from the bottom.

Was half expecting the entire thing to come apart at the seams considering how light it is lol. Thankfully those thick zinc alloy "bumpers" work well enough.
