I just picked one of these up and was hoping you guy could help me with the settings. I got some of the Ni coils for the melo and set it to 40w 430f. I can it it for about 1 sec before the tc goes off. I switched it over to m1 set at 600 and it's seems better (those does seem to shut of faster the my d2 did). Is this the right way to have it set up? Also do i need to lock the resistance?

I'm by no means an expert as I just picked up the PICO this past Friday. I had the same issue yesterday after loading an Aspire NI200 coil (0.15.) I am using the Super tank Mini on the PICO. Today, I tried again with the same coil, locked the resistance, set the temp to 500 F, watts at 35, and I am not having any issues. I think the temp was the cause and I had it set too low yesterday resulting in the tc to go off. I'm not sure about the Ni coils for the Melo, but it may have been that your temp was set too low. Good luck!

The point of this photo is to show off the rda which I got while I was waiting for the pico because it meets my rda criteria and I thought it would look cool on the pico, and it does. It's not the most practical rda for everyday carry for me because the juice well is shallow but for show-and-tell it's wicked.

So, with as cheap as these seem to be lately and the fact that Eiraku has pointed out they are simple to disassemble, I find myself wondering if someone could create a squonk box from the chip set in the Pico...

I'd buy one.
Or............ you could just hold out, Kanger is coming out with a 160w dual battery TC/VW squonk box.

Here's hoping that Kanger manages to get fully functioning tc on that device...

Just got a pico from the classifieds and I like it! Its my first tank mod and I'm having a little flooding issue. I'm using 50/50 homemade mix and I'm picking up more VG tomoro to thicken it up some. Anyone try the ecr on the melo3 yet? I can't find any reviews besides YouTube promos on it.

Following the old, well proven Kanger method of throwing out a product to beta test an idea on the consumers then putting out a v2 within a few months.

Smaller board from the Pico equals smaller squonkbox. I have no use for 160W for that, I rarely go over 60 for TC. I just want a reliable TC board in a squonk.

That too. I've heard a rumor there's no TCR.

Got some headed my way from Fasttech, I'll let you know if they ever show up. I think a couple other people here have them as well.

There's a thread on here that one of our Pico users started on the Melo III mini. He stated it works but the ecr's aren't very well made. I used a Triton RBA head cos that's what I had. It works, but when assembling the deck onto the tank it leaves a 1mm gap, it's not that noticeable given the design. Try & search for the thread there's more info.

Guys, who have the black Pico, can tell me if the black stays black? I'd only one istick, that was black, and after a couple of months it was more blue than black!
I don't think anyone has had a Pico long enough to give a true long-term perspective.

I'm thinking that it's not gonna differ much from the last gen iSticks in terms of finish durability (hence my obsession with wrapping my Pico).

As it is, I could see that the paint already scratches fairly easily, so it should either scratch off in splotches (like most other abused iSticks) or fade (like your old one).

Not sure about the "naked" brushed one and "stealth" full-black though - as the naked one is most probably unpainted (whoo!) And the stealth one could be anodized black rather than painted.

I ordered an Evic VTC Mini because I happened to google it, and they had it on sale for flash price of $31.55 on Gearbest. Not the best reputation, and ships from China, but I'm not in a hurry. This will be my backup mod as I prepare for vapemageddon.

The Pico is my only removable battery mod, and I don't wanna be screwed if there's some sort of price increase in August. I'll stock up on 6 months supply of juice if my site does a Memorial Day sale. I'm fairly confident that we'll still be able to order stuff from China even after 2 years, but you never know. If it really happens, I'll probably spend $200-300 on a 2-3 year supply of liquid and throw it in the freezer.

I dropped my Pico in the bathroom the other day, and got my first speckle come off the finish. Annoyed, but can't stay perfect forever. I'm all for protection on a $500 cell phone, but IMO a silicone sleeve is a bit much for a $30 mod. I'll keep it naked.

I also ordered a pair of mini protanks since they were on clearance at Hoosier e-cig for $6 a piece. I had a $5 rewards credit from when I bought my first starter kit in June of 2014. Almost two years since the switch to vaping.

Advice on recharging the battery please….

The icon shows battery level is down to about 40%…is there an ideal level to recharge or just wait for it to shut down automatically?

I never realized it, but I read people say that once their devices get around 3.6v, you can notice a big dropoff in the quality of the vape. I realized that myself. I think 3.6v is around 50% charge, so I try to get mine on a charger by the time the meter reads 1/2, but you're fine using it til it's almost dead if you wanted.

The annoying thing about my Pico is that it doesn't shut off until it gets to 4.18 and sits there for a while. It'll take over 30 mins to get from 4.15 to shutoff. It's annoying, but I just pull it off whenever. That .03 doesn't matter much.

If your device, is regulated, like the Pico, and you are not pushing the limits or beyond then you should not notice any Vape difference until you get the low battery warning. Now on a MECH mod, as the battery voltage gets lower and lower, then you will notice a Vape difference. On a Mech you begin to know the bat is getting low, less vapor, now and then I'll toss a 510 LED volt meter on top, don't want to get lower then 3.3-3.2 volts. With my regulated mods, with quality lithium batteries I charge them whenever I like, mods like the Pico etc. will tell you when it's time to charge if you want to just keep vaping, and protect you and the battery as well.
