Just got one to review.. Had to buy it though, no free loans from Shenzen iSmoka eLeaf.

Really excellent. I have only used it on a pretty low power setting so far but it seems to pound out a strong and consistent current.

The only gripe I have is that the onboard ohms meter does not work correctly on mine. My multimeter reads 2.4 Ohms across a coil but the eLeaf display only shows 1.1 Ohms. Never mind. I commented in another post that it would be easy to swap the battery in this unit when it packs in but you'd need a tiny Torx wrench to get into the case and exactly the right batt to do this so not a beginners job. I feel that the built in batt will last for plenty of charges though.

With a dual coil you may be reading only one of the two which is twice as much as the two coils combined together which then is multiplied by a factor of 0.25ohm where two 2.2ohm coils put together inside the atomize will be equal to 1.1ohm in theory. But no ohm readouts on batteries or mods are ever 100% always on the exact mark unlike any electronic tech's bench multimeter which is usually expensive like a good Fluke meter. You always see a varying by 0.1 plus or minus sometimes 0.2ohms.

The information showed the tank as having an approximate 1.5ohm total value on the coil pre-installed on those. In mass production you also run into variances often enough since no two are ever 100% perfectly exact to each other. You also got from one of the first to be retail batches which could have an effect as they are gearing up for putting them out in large quantities. None of this stuff seems to be rocket science anyways!

Now as I mentioned having ordered a pair of the Nautilus mini tanks I wanted to just what those would be on a 20w or higher mod and caught this review. Aspire Nautilus Mini Review | Vaping Review Blog The mention by the writer of having it turned upto 14w would sound about right while still recommending keeping it down a bit until you get to that "sweet spot" acccording the ejuice you have in that or any other tank.

The hardest part with any of these mods is that generally the only coills or atomizers that will take a beating from the higher wattages are RDA and RBA types! The sub ohm tanks won't fire on the iSticks while they can get you started off on a good number of other higher end mods. But then you have to look at why the coils are twice the size of what you see with the Nautilus or other tanks in general to understand how those handle the hgher voltages as well as wattage. There's more metal there as well as the longer coil wrappings and wick material to off set the increase in heat as well as power.

I like the one part about having a better seal on the air intake control set up over hearing as well as seeing for myself how the Nautilus as well as both sizes of Kanger Aerotank Mega and Mini sweat ejuice out those holes once you get going. That's one thing you don't want to see on the iStick or on any other sealed mod or battery is getting ejuice forced into them. I still have two batteries here I have yet to pop the ends off to see if they got shorted in some way due to any leaks.

Pleasure. This is a lovely chit-chat between Brandon (from Evolv) and Dave (known around here as HiFiStud ) about DNA 40.

Brandon talks about problems with some boards (screen locks, apparently) and what they do to fix it; about different wires (titanium and stainless) that can be used instead of nickel; coil building (he recommends spaced coils, not micros); commercial coils already available (Kanger and Aspire); and next inventions, products and improvements.

You don't have to watch the whole video--use the FF function. That's what I do--I only watch parts that interest me.

I just finished listening to something similar on SoundHound about the Aspire Atlantis. It was frustrating trying to find the part that spoke of what I was interested in.

They most likely will be about the same length as the Smok Aro Winders or eGo-V V4 Mega batteries. If you wear carpenter style work jeans those come with the extra deep pockets that will keep that type of battery safe while you walk around. For something compact in size however the only other item of interest coming soon will be the Beyang 30w mod that is likely just a bit taller then the iStick due to having an 18650 2200mah battery sealed inside it along with the same type of usb charging port and a flash light in it as well.

Meanwhile the ZNA 50 will arrive in the next few hours with the Smok BEC Pro 50wattterlikely in monday and the DovPo E-LVT 30w mod in brown a week or so from now spelling it out for the 2014 upgrades here!

I have changed the battery in one already. It was easy....There are tutorials in this thread on how to take it apart. I used a regular 18650 battery. The first and most important thing is that you have to gently pry up the black OLED see-through plastic to remove the buttons..double sided tape holds it on. Be careful your not to trying to pull up the plastic layered under it,..... Then the buttons pull right out. The rest is just unscrewing the caps then everything slides right out.

The ZNA 50 will be in later being the one in all black I found for a great price at one vendor the only having that in all black since Fasttech was black with silver or stainless colored battery tube.

Just an FYI...this is a clone.

I have my doubts about that since this one is stainless and copper compared to Fasttech's stainless and aluminum. I'll bite if it is half the height of the original. At 1100 mah, it should be. I've said all along, they can skip the VV and I'll just adjust the topper. Just make it small.

Just tried two Joye 510 atties on the iStick. A 1.5 ohm and a 2.4ohm....I think i like the 2.4 better. I tried a 1.5ohm 306 too.

I also tried a 1.5ohm DCT carto in a IBtanked. This little box mod was well worth the $25.

The iStick Bending Adapter, I am happy to report, survived a full workday in my pocket. The atty stayed attached, and had no issues whatsoever.
