Happy to hear they are going to be RMS and spring loaded 510. I would like to chuck my 20 watt against the wall. I can't tighten down my aspire or it says no atty have to leave it loose.

I don't understand why it doesn't give a "short" message for that circumstance.
I remember how, on some of the early minis(cigalikes), the atomizer center pin would grab/turn the batt center pin, but the wire eventually broke.

I have to admit. I haven't touched my istick since getting the Shark 40.

I would hope so, ScandaLeX. If you were reaching for the $30 mod more often than the $200 mod, it might be considered a waste of 200 bucks. ;)

I often find myself looking at the VS products. The DNA30 was the original mini mod. We can argue about styling But the designs are solid. If I wanted to be a collector, I'd have one of each on my shelf. I'm just not at the point where I can justify $200 on a mod. I'll be putting a DNA 40 board in my $5 Chana box. That'll be fine for me.

Maybe it's just my personality. I'd also rather restore a '67 'Vette than buy a brand new one. :D

What The ??

So I emailed Eleaf to see if the 20 W will get any improvements. I guess they don't understand English . I asked :Will Istick ever have an internal replaceable battery ? Like an 18650 ? Will the 20w Istick get the improved 510 spring loaded connection?

Eleaf answer :Dear friend,
Thanks for your email and sorry for the dealy in replying.
The battery of iStick is integrated and can't be exchanged.
Now we didn't heard any information about the iStick 20W which has been improved 510 spring loaded connector.
If any problems free feel free to contact us.
Have a nice day.
Best wishes!

I've just read your posts about those newcomers with RMS output. Well, word has come out as DC output, so RMS, averages, mean, maximum and minimum, regarding voltages, now are the same, aren't they?

I thought all this jazz came out from the Spinfuel video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no8wvf5Dd1s and its comments, with the ineffable sentence:

The mode of original and mini iStick is DC mode...iStick 30W combines RMS mode with DC mode

Which, taking into account that both original and mini iSticks seem to had PWM output, makes all the sense in the world....... Once we get to the ground (ouch!) it is not clear. As a matter of fact, it is far from clear.......

The 30W and 50W (power-wise ones too...) are.....DC? PWM but with RMS voltages applied over their calculations? Upside-down but it doesn't matter if your put the right e-liquid? Fuchias but you can also see them as pink, even blue?.....

I'm mesmerized!

Someone can shed some light (a bright one, please) over this.....it's killing me!

P.S.: Almost one thousand pages..... I feel guilty for my early participation on this...... Almost one thousand pages!.........

Somethin is lost in the translation. :) The 20 and mini have a pulsed DC output. The new 30 and 50 have a flat DC output.

I've had my istick for a week and have found it runs a bit hot, i.e. higher (Volts/Watts) than what is displayed. I also noticed that I was going through more juiced.
It is a nice mod if only it wouldn"t run hot.

Well you can blame the Clearo makers for not making higher oHM coils. I'm fine using a 3 OHM Boge.
